“This is now a Dollar Tree Plus and it's cute to see the items they offer online. Everything is clearly marked if it's more than $1.25. Staff could be a little friendlier and helpful.”

“I googled this dollar general and this location has come up I seen the reviews and was a little weary due to the comments. This store is very nice workers are calm and inviting. I realize plenty that takes these reviews are impatient, and rude. I witnessed a lady hollering and belittling the cashier and manager over a coupon that was for wrong size item they were being so polite and she still was screaming out the door calling them idiots, I felt bad for them but they stayed very professional and calm. “One of my local go-to places in the area. Lines often get a lil long for the amount of staff working, but the manager is pretty good at handling that. I also like how the manager seems mean to most people, but she's just really no-nonsense, with staff AND customers. “Dollar tree in Schererville IN is well stocked. The building is old but clean and mostly organized. Prices are lower than other stores and the quality isn't bad. Staff is friendly.”

“Happened to shop here for the vitamins here aren't too expensive. The fruit and accessories are to good to come by. I likely shopped to the extent of essential items such as q tips and shampoo and razors. The use of purchasing a iTunes card at the reasonable credit also helps. Nevertheless a great store to come through and shop.”
“I just came out of the Steger DG and needed to write a review right away. Marque is definitely a keeper. He greets you on your way in the store and checks people out with great customer service. If I was still in management I would want to steal him from you”

“I don't know if I dealt with one of the store's manager today just now, or not, but I have to say that this was the most pleasant experience I've had at a Dollar tree in a long time. They had everything I was looking for, as well as obviously being cheaper than the surrounding competition.. They also made it a point to make me comfortable enough to ask questions in regards to location and price for each and every item I needed. They didn't bother me, but they also didn't push me away when I really needed to know certain things.
Yeah.....it's a dollar store. I might not get the greatest quality in regards to the items I purchase. However, it also isn't garbage I'm purchasing, either. They (those working at the Dyer location, that is) make darn sure that each and every customer has been attended to. And I am NOT just saying that. I know service jobs are really stressful, and it is VERY damn hard to keep your composure at times. But they make it look damn easy, especially when you really do get some knucklehead customers that are never satisfied with anything. It's hard, and you can't please everybody...a d yet they attempt to, regardless.
EVERY SINGLE PERSON THERE DESERVES A RAISE IN PAY. I'M NOT SAYING THIS JUST TO MAKE THE PEOPLE THAT WAITED ON ME FEEL BETTER. I'M SAYING THIS BECAUSE I FELT COMFORTABLE IN THAT STORE AND NOT EMBARRASSED.
Bottom line is.....the Dyer store is doing a damn good job in making me feel comfortable where I happened to shop for groceries and personal items.
I MOST DEFINITELY plan on coming back in the near future.....which is more than likely going to be tomorrow afternoon. The manager they have now, as well as the employees, must really enjoy whomever they work for. They do a damn good job in regards to HOW things are done.
And I know by now I must sound like a broken record, but they also do a damn good job as to WHY certain things get done as well. The service/retail industry is a rough one, to say the least. But whomever runs this specific local knows what they are doing at least. I hope it remains this way, to be honest.
I plan on seeing everyone again today, simply because my mom most definitely forgot what else she needed at the store, hahahaha!

The line was half way down the store and she kept apologizing to everyone for the wait. Why you short staff your store so much is really sad. I know it happens being a retail manager myself. “I just had the most wonderful experience. My daughter fell asleep on the way to the store so I had to carry her throughout the store. While it was my turn at the register the lady behind me offered to put my items on the belt for me, the cashier (wish I paid attention to get her name) pulled the cart around and loaded it for me, the lady that was in front of me waited for me to check out to help bring the cart/ bags out and the lady that helped put my items on the belt had her nephew bring my bags to my car. I was a little worried at how I would do all of this with my daughter sleeping but these amazing people and the amazing cashier didn’t even blink an eye to help me. I am so thankful/great fun that there are still good people out there that are willing to help people they don’t know. If it wasn’t for them I would have had a very hard time checking out and getting to the car. Tear jerker of the day, I got very lucky. God is good, bless them?*edit*My receipt says the sales associate was Candice! I hope that is right because she deserves the praise and a raise!”
“Even though Dollar Tree jumped up a whopping 25 per cent with no prior notice. You can still find interesting things to purchase. I actually considered not going back to the store after the price shock and content reduction of some of it's products. But I realized there are some tasty and unique offerings to be found there. At $1.25 a few products are over the top, but you can still get some great bargains. Yes dollar and a quarter tree is still on my list of go to stores.”

Today I called to see if an item I was looking for was in stock. The person told me that they were just receiving their shipment and would call me back to let me know if they got any. They kept their word and called back! Now this is EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I reached out to the Corporate Office to forward this compliment as well.”
