(owner of Dogtopia South Elgin) is all businessman and does not care about the Dogs at all. I have gone to a different doggy hotel/daycare and they treat my dog much better. I will be very hesitant to ever recommend Dogtopia to anyone. Whenever any staff person talks to a guest it seems like a scripted conversation. It’s very business oriented and not about treating people like people.
I have withdrawn Zeus from daycare/boarding from Dogtopia and Zeus is doing a lot better. I understand every dog is different but I would have to say management at Dogtopia is not good at all. Even his own staff member say that they do not like the new owner.

My poodle was going to Dogtopia 2-3 days a week & we loved taking her there! Everyone there was so nice and it gave us so much peace of mind throughout the day that she was being watched when we were not home. We started taking her to daycare because she had really bad separation anxiety & her being in daycare helped her get through her anxiety & now she can stay home all by herself! They also take super cute pictures of the dogs!

We absolutely LOVE Dogtopia of South Elgin! I can't even say the word "Dogtopia" in my house without both of my dogs going crazy and waiting by their leashes to go play with their fur-friends! The staff is amazing as well. Highly recommend taking your dogs here!

Extremely friendly staff. My black lab loves spending time there. Very accommodating about his anxiety for nail trims and baths.

I've always had the best experience. At period it's great people and friendly and they treat my very buddy. Pretty good af. There's an incident where chase gets hurt. They call me and they try to fix it right away. 3.
Thumbs up to these guys.

It was my dogs first time at daycare and she was so excited the second she walked they the door. I was so nervous but seeing her so happy made feel at ease. Checking in on her thru the webcams made me smile all day. Her tail wagged all day & she looked like she was having the best day ever! We will be enrolling her in the wellness program they offer. Thank you Dogtopia!

I have had a very encouraging and positive experience with this location. I have to say I am extremely happy to have found such a loving staff and an owner that is really engaging and involved with customers, staff and doggies. I appreciate the video cams even with it being laggy at times, i can always see a very active and sometime chaotic scene. It cannot be an easy task to care and play with all the furry babies but they all seem to enjoy their jobs and are extremely pleasant when i arrive to get my puppy. Kudos to the whole staff and Dave for all the hard work they do to ensure i can have peace of mind at work

Being completely honest, but I'm disappointed in Dogtopia and would NOT recommend this place to anyone who actually loves their dog. I brought my rescue dog, Oliver, here because he loves playing with other dogs, and gets very excited for the dog park!Oliver is extremely very gentle and loving. A bit too much. He is a lover, not a fighter. I thought this place would be prefect for him. Oliver has been there twice within a month, and both times he returned with visible injuries. First visit, a large gash on his back, and a bunch of little scratches on his body.I dropped Oliver off the first time.... When my husband picked Oliver up, and the girl realized the dog he was there for.... She said to my husband, "We didn't have any fights or anything like that today", immediately after she paged the back to bring Oliver out to go home. My husband said that is a very weird statement to make when he didn't ask or say anything to her, besides bringing Oliver out to go home.I have seen him play with dogs of all sizes and tempers for hours, and he has never had scratches like this, see pictures I attached!! The gash on his back was so deep that it left a permanent scar. Just a bad reminder of Dogtopia.I spoke to the manager, Dave, to figure out what happened and how we can prevent this moving forward. What a waste of time. He told me what I already know, and didn't even offer a refund or any resolution of any sort... He just told me, "Well, that's how dogs play and we do have staff that would break up any aggressive fighting". Then he went on to said they have cameras you can always check your dog.Yes, I know, I always check the cameras. They're poor quality, and constantly freeze. Maybe you should review the footage, since it's your job??When the cameras did work, Oliver was sitting by the door wanting to leave, or he was following a worker with his tail and head down. I know my dog and how he plays. Oliver would rather go to the Vet than Dogtopia. The second time I dropped him off, he didn't want to get out of the car, which definitely was out of fear. When he returned with more wounds, I called the manager.SEE ATTACHED PICTURES!!!!! Picture with the red circle is from today... over a month later.... His first visit was on October 22, 2023.According to Anderson Human in South Elgin, our dog was abused and thrown in the dumpster, all before we adopted him at 6 months old.He is 2 years old now, and improved so much..... but places like Dogtopia make it a priority to erase the progress, then deny any involvement to make a dollar. There is a reason they cost $40 per day.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND PAY MORE TO AVOID THESE PEOPLE!

This facility is amazing my boys Bruce , Lionel, and Clark love the staff and the experience . They come home so happy and well exercised. I couldn’t ask for a better staff of people to look after my boys when I am away.
