The wait time for starters; ridiculous. I stopped here 2 weeks ago on my way to Chicago not aware of the time I would be waiting. After 2 hrs and paying over price I walked out. I get it was a Friday. However my trip today was on a Wednesday at 11:30 and I waited just as long. I preordered both times but that doesn’t make a difference. This is because I’m in the same line as people who haven’t ordered which takes longer. There are people constantly cutting in line and I’m not sure why.The only reason I came back was because of the scratch off I received a 50% discount on a brand I like. Except when I went to use it at was pretty much worthless. It said not to be used with other promotions; understandable I’ve worked retail. Normally you would give the customer the better of 2 promotions. I got the 15% instead of 50% so with the discount I end up save $20 instead of $60-75 I should have. Factor the gas, and I was probably better off seeing the local weed man and save time. Also my order was wrong so I had to wait for that to be fixed.Sunnyside be better

Great choice of product. Friendly staff. But they have a serious problem with staffing. Today with 100 + people in line and at least 50 waiting in the overflow room, they have only three cashiers. And there is no sense of urgency anywhere. Maybe they're all customers as well as employee. Be prepared to wait. I was in line 2.5 hours. There must be a better way.

The state line desperately needs some competition for legalized cannabis. Going in here at any point, you never know how much time you’re going to be committing. I went in on a random Wednesday afternoon once, and I was in and out in a few minutes. But more often then not it is well over an hour. I went yesterday shortly after they opened, and the line was already 2+ hours. There was a separate line you had to wait in just to get the go ahead to go into the reception area, and then proceed to wait in the actual line. At this point I don’t bother with this location and just drive a bit further to the Rockford location.Another thing I’m not a fan of with the Sunnyside dispensaries is the fact that you can’t look at the products before you buy them. It makes the whole process feel like going to the bank rather than a trip to the dispensary. I’m not sure if that is an Illinois thing or a Sunnyside thing, but my experiences at other dispensaries in other states was much better. I hope they enjoy their monopoly while it lasts, because as soon as alternatives start springing up I’ll make it a point to avoid Sunnyside dispensaries at all costs. The staff is typically very friendly and helpful, but the company as a whole is run poorly. There’s no attempt to connect with their customers, they just exploit the fact that customers in the area have next to no legal alternatives.

The wait time of 2 1/2 hours on a Wednesday evening is ridiculous. Only two cashiers helping over 100 paying customers. Save yourself the headache and find a local dealer. And don't listen to an apology. Just read all the reviews abouts cashiers. The problem is still persistent because it's a hollow apology.... don't bother commenting Sunnyside, you already know it'll be a lie. Then to top it off the cashier refused my veteran discount.

Friendly staff and decent selection. I don't like their policy of having to have an order placed before you can go in. I'd rather be able to browse and talk to the staff about my options at the counter, like other dispensaries I've been to.LONG wait time (2 hours in queue) once I was in to get to the counter to pick up the order. They had probably about a dozen register locations at the counter, but only 3 of them staffed at any given time. Lots of employees seeming to be in "support" roles behind the counter, but not really doing much.

I worked with Tkeyah today and she was great. Very knowledgeable about the products and super helpful picking put the right vape. I also appreciated her letting me know about the "Scrarch & Stash" promotion. Another great experience at Sunnyside. Julia B.

I used to really like this place, but there has been a recent shift in staff attitude. The last couple Wellness Advisors I have worked with have all been very condescending. First Ashley, and now Benny. Benny gave me $7 change back in quarter after sh!t talking my order. I can only assume he was having a bad day. I now only shop here because the next closest dispensary is ~25 away. Wouldn't advise their recommendations or whatever "new" products they are pushing.

This location is my favorite. Even when the wait is long, the employees are working to get people through but they still ask if you have any questions and treat each customer like the number priority. I have been helped by nothing but bright eyed and professional employees. My favorite is Jorge! The other employees are a close second though;) Thanks for all you do!

First time at a dispensary. The staff were very courteous. Nikolas who waited on us was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great guy. He made us very comfortable, knew the products and their effects and helped us make informed choices. Will be back!

Staff is always beyond helpful and super friendly. I’ll just say, the taxes and lines here can get crazy. It’s worth the extra gas to save money at the Rockford location!

6/30/23Understaffed. Ridiculous waits. It's unbelievable how an industry which exploits a simple plant to such great profit can have people standing in line for over an hour to spend over $100. Like, $100k passed through these doors in the ridiculous time it took to get my two items. Why arrange things in the least efficient way? Why not hire more people? You're the very machine you purported to hate. Shame. If you're going to make people stand in line for 2 hours while price gouging, the least you could do is change the dividers to benches. My back hurts from standing here.Update 7/8/23:Despite the flippant reply from the owner, there is very little evidence of them caring about patrons. The lines remain long. The prices unreasonable. The capitalists are still exploiting. "Peak hours" are known to the owner, yet staffing remains inadequate during these times. The layout is poorly thought out. The efforts at improvement are a sham. I wish I could say these things to the owners. I wish they would care. But they are heartless beings parading themselves as progress in the name of profit. I've been here for an hour. Essentially halfway through the line. There's about twenty registers. Two are open. I'll be using all my rewards on this visit and going elsewhere in the future. RISE has proven a much more considerate venue, although even they are corporate oligarchs.

I recently visited Sunnyside and felt compelled to share my disappointment regarding the absence of public restrooms. As a customer, access to a clean and convenient restroom is an essential aspect of any establishment. Unfortunately, my experience at Sunnyside left much to be desired in this regard.During previous visits, Sunnyside had provided indoor restrooms as well as outdoor portable bathrooms, which were greatly appreciated. However, it was disheartening to discover that on my recent visit, no restroom facilities were available for customers. This sudden change was both unexpected and inconvenient, particularly considering the investment made in portable bathrooms in the past.Access to a restroom is crucial, not only for comfort but also for hygiene and overall customer satisfaction. The absence of this basic amenity at Sunnyside negatively impacted my experience and that of other customers. It is essential for businesses to recognize the importance of providing accessible restroom facilities to maintain a positive customer experience.I hope that Sunnyside will reconsider their decision and reinstate public restrooms for the convenience and satisfaction of their patrons. Taking this step would greatly enhance the overall customer experience and demonstrate a commitment to meeting the needs of their clientele. In conclusion, my recent visit to Sunnyside was marred by the absence of public restrooms, despite their previous provision. I sincerely hope that the management will address this issue promptly, as it is a crucial aspect of any business that values customer comfort and satisfaction.

This was our first visit and had no clue what we were looking for. Tim was so helpful and informative. They go out of their way to make a veteran welcome, too. I have nothing but praise for ALL the people that work there from security to sales. Keep awesome! Hard to find anyone like this in the workforce now

The wait time can be long, but worth it. Usually I'm in and out very quick though! The staff is awesome, welcoming and very helpful. I love everything I've tried so far. I got some good deals, and will be coming back.
