2024 is a week away why is there still a 4$ convenience fee for using a debit card?

Power rarely goes out. When I call their office for any reason, I receive fast and very professional service. They are excellent.

Non progressive company. In order to convert to solar they 2X the monthly service fees to nearly $40 month. Also there are no incentives to move to more efficient HVAC equipment. ComEd has incentives for heat pumps and feeding back into the grid.I will say service has been very consistent and they have repaired downed lines very quickly in my area. 5 stars for that.

The $3.95 Convenience fee to pay an already large bill is Obnoxious. They never wave it even when they're pay site kiosks are down and not working. And their customer service reps who answer their phones are rude and condescending.. I do not like that the city of South Beloit has no choice and we are forced to deal with them

This place is an absolute rip off, please let me know if you guys know of any legit electric companies in the area. I don't know what's worst the service prices, or the customer service. ??

High cost of electricity! Asked why is it twice a high as the service in beloit. An asked why it’s twice as high as com Ed in Rockford there is no one else to get power from in the area this is a monopoly . The lady was rude on the phone because I asked questions. The service used to be owned by alliant Why was it sold. This is crazy you spend more for electricity than any one else in the area. Why can’t the people in the area vote to get them out. We are having a hard time already Why are we paying more for the same service

My mom in law passed away, it was completely unexpected and we have been trying to manage everything while grieving. I received a letter from Rock Energy saying they needed information before 10/15, I dropped off the full payment along with the paperwork they wanted. I arrived at her house today 10/19 & they shut off the power! I called and the representative said they left a message on my phone that they needed to speak to me by 10/15. 1st I didn't receive a call, 2nd so by their story I dropped off payment and paperwork outside in the box, (because they don't have in office service at this time) on the 14th, they opened processed, called me and left a message that I had to call all with in 24 hours? Terrible services, she charged me a 300 deposit and 50 to reconnect and need more paperwork signed that she qill email to me. It will be turned on 10/20, 60 minutes later the power was on. No email received. So are they going to shut it back off because they didn't send that either. Again unbelievable

Had the absolute worst experience from an electric company! Customer service is terrible! We put up solar panels and have had some issues getting them turned on. While getting to the bottom of the problem I received such a huge run around from a member of management. I had to double check every phone number he gave me and he was actively giving me incorrect numbers. This made it impossible for me to get in contact with the people he said he had contacted to help us get our panels turned on. He also said that the Rock Energy Cooperative never heard from us previously, and I know for sure my husband had spoken with them. Once I brought this to their attention he changed his story. We had been warned that they were terrible to work with and this has turned out to be a HUGE headache!

Super high deposits, $3.95 convenience fee to pay your bill unless you go to your own bank and set up direct debit. You can do direct debit from the app but still get charged the $3.95 convenience fee. Prices have been fair so far, at least.

As a new business customer you need to beware of a $1,200 security deposit you won't see back until after 2 years and that's only if you aren't a day late... To top it off, my equipment isn't even in yet and I haven't run any water, gas or elecricity and my bill was $126 when the place is vacant. Just another example of getting ripped off because they know you need it.

Just informed me that i haven't been changed for gad in 4 years which is bs. Just hit me with a 1044.00 gas bill. Waiting for a manager to tell me why it took 4 years for rock energy to realize they weren't charging me. Customer service said my meter has been broke for 4 years. I live in a subdivision with hundreds of houses in a 5 mile radius. Its not like i live in the middle of nowhere. Literally unbelievable the ineptitude displayed by rock energy coop. My bill is always prepaid so i keep a credit balance. I'm literally baffled by the unprofessioalism displayed by such a large corporation. They have a monopoly in my area and can't use another gas supplier.

Insane deposit for moderate credit! They want $300 from me and I shouldn't be considered a "risk". If you plan to move to South Beloit, beware! Nicor/comed are not available here. You can't just switch service, and its 150 deposit (or much more) PER utility and they run both gas and electric. Not to mention, you pay that deposit AGAIN if you move. They don't just let you start service at another address without paying it again. If you pay on time for 12 months, you might have a deposit applied to your "new account". Accounts go by address, so if a prior owner, tenant or landlord had the gas/electric disconnected, surprise its $50 per utility to get it hooked back up. And you have to pay, even if renting. Also any money owed to the company. We're now at $400 just to get your utilities going. That's IF the address is current on the gas/electric bill. Of course moving from out of town, our landlord knew... He decided not to mention it. Or that he had the utilities disconnected. Check before you move, if you run into this, tell your potential landlord that they should consider filing a complaint. I know I am.

Worst utility company EVER! Everytime the freaking wind blows we lose power for 10-12 HOURS! We have gone without power for up to 2whole days and they aren’t even apologetic! We have had their service exactly one year and have suffered through at least a dozen outages. I never had this many outages in my entire LIFE with Alliant.

Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Called to report an outage, the only one in the area has been over 2.5 hours and have yet to hear anything. Called after an hour as they told me technicians had been dispatched when I called to report it initially. Woman I spoke told me “well of course it’s going to take longer than an hour they are coming from home” with a nasty tone. So I asked when something would be done and was told whenever they get there. If I could give 0 stars I would.
