Poor customer service and so rude to my mother who speaks little to no English. Would rather go to another chicos store.

Terrible customer service. Women who work here don't want to be helpful with a return or exchange. Lots of attitude.

The organization of the store is confusing. They had a rack saying sweaters were $39.00. They had some shirts mixed in at a higher price. I argued that it was poorly marked. Was told that I could get the shirt for $39. When I got home and really studied the receipt I was charged full price. I am from out of town

My mother loves this store. She also just lost weight so she was excited to visit the store after I just purchased her some items from Chico's for her for Mother's Day gift. She usually spends quite a bit of money here but today she spent $0 and here is why. To the woman with glasses and brown hair-you just missed a big sale because she was ready to shop after a year and a half.

First, no one said hello to her. There was the brunette with glasses and a blonde. They had floor set papers in their hands. My mother liked a top and went to the associate to ask if they had her size and the response was "There aren't any up there? Did you look? She went to look and said well there is this other size..." My mother asked if anything was in back. She described to me being interested in other items and at one point the associate was going to check the back for her, had a conversation with the blonde for a while, did not go in back and said no. My mother was feeling uncomfortable at this point and wanted to scope out the sale before leaving when the blonde yelled from across the store that the sale section was no longer organized by size. She said some other things but my mother didn't realize she was talking to her so the blonde started saying HELLO HELLO! ?! How rude is that to be talked to this way while you are shopping. No one told my mother their name. She had messaged me that she was going to Chico's and I was excited for her and then I got a text message shortly after that she was leaving. My heart broke because I know she was excited. Customers have a choice in where to shop and if you're short with them or treat them poorly from the start, you miss out on the sale. She will still get nice clothing from associates who are socially graceful and willing to help, but it won't ever be this location again. You have work to do ladies.

Please get the angry and rude cashier the help or training or vacation they seem to so desperately need. While competent at processing a sale, this individual's overall demeanor is almost comically terrible. Otherwise, this is a clean and beautifully merchandised store with a convenient location right off of I-90.

The South Barrington location has the biggest selection of all the Chico's in the West/Northwest suburbs of Chicago. The ladies at this location are very helpful, and generous in helping clients- whether it's with recommendations on what looks good or fits properly, or with providing a coupon when you might not even be eligible for one or you've used it already... either way, I am a fan of this location. I've received good customer service at both Geneva and Wheaton's stores as well. Those locations are much smaller and don't offer the same selection.

I'm done shopping at Chico's. I was in the South Barrington store over the weekend. I had one associate ask if she could help. She put a item in a fitting room for me but never followed up. I had to keep going back and forth to find tops. Other associates were in groups talking. I felt that I had been judged as someone who would not spend a lot. So you know what I didn't. I went elsewhere. I use to work retail. If you have a good experience you tell one person. If your experience was bad you tell ten.

Valerie B. was very rude and unprofessional. Very poor in customer service, lack of communication skills, insincere, arrogant and superficial . She abuses her privilege as a store manager. She doesn't deserve even a star. That's Sad!

I shopped at Chico's in South Barrington, IL on Saturday, 11/24. I only shop at this location occasionally as it's not close to my home. I work in customer service and I was disappointed with my experience. I wasn't greeted when I walked (about 5 min later asked if I'm finding everything ok). I carried clothes around for about 7 minutes before asked if they could put them in a dressing room. It was about 6:30 and only a couple of other shoppers in the store. I tried my items on and bought a few things and when my transaction was over I wasn't thanked. Needless to say I won't return to that location.
