First time there & first time getting acrylic nails. The place runs like a well oiled machine from what I can see. Clean spa & professional staff. We'll be returning. They accept credit cards and prefer cash tips. This place was recommended to me by 3 friends that are in the beauty industry so I had to check out.

I have mixed feelings about this salon. It is clean and I’ve had good manicure and pedicure done here before, but it depends on the technician. My last visit was very dissatisfying. I did regular nail polish on hands and it didn’t last even for three days. The tech was rushing and the removal of my nochip polish was painful. My daughter had a different tech and she was very happy with her acrylic and design.

Excellent! Sally is really good. She’s chill and does her job right. You can just tell when someone has a lot of experience. I used to go to old orchard, pls don’t go there. Just schedule your apt here at xpression. I had an experience before when a nail technician was very mean to me bcos my hand wasn’t in the right position and she would show her dismay and would get annoyed when my hand wasn’t positioned right. When I finally talked back, she then pressed my nails so hard when she was cleaning my nails. THEY DONT DO THAT IN THIS SALON. very nice ppl. You could just feel the warmth in this place as soon as you walk in. If you live in Skokie, go to xpression.

This was my first time coming to this salon because of the positive reviews but I did not have the same experience. I spent $83 plus tip on a No Chip manicure and pedicure and it barely lasted the weekend! 3 nails chipped after only 2 days. I had my nails done on Thursday afternoon and by Saturday my middle finger and index finger chipped and the next morning my thumb nail chipped. I didn’t even do any hand labor this weekend as I was on a relaxing vacation for an out of town wedding, which is why I got my nails done. I usually switch between two other nail salons where my nails would last for almost a full month.
Also my pedicure could have used another coat as they look somewhat incomplete, and while the nail tech was doing my hands lint kept sticking to them where I had to keep pointing it out so she could remove it before painting it on. She also was about to complete my nails when they clearly needed another coat and I had to mention right before she was about to put the final top coat. And when she told me she was done I was confused because there was obvious nail polish on my skin around a few nails on my right hand. I pointed it out to her and instead of using nail polish remover with a paint brush she was using a cuticle trimmer to pick off the paint which made my skin look all roughed up around my nails.
The staff is nice but the experience I paid for was not. I left unsatisfied that same day but just told myself “I tried it and now I know to stick to the other two salons that have never failed me.” I wasn’t going to leave a review but after spending the money to expect to have my nails look nice for a wedding I was attending on Sunday to only have them chip made me feel like I wasted my money and had chipped nails for an event.

I felt like this salon had an assembly line atmosphere. I would probably not return since I felt unappreciated. When I left, a worker ran out after me, yelling, "Did I pay?"

Jimmy is one of the best nail techs. I've went to him for a year doing acrylic full sets and fills + repairs with nothing going wrong. I got an acrylic fill with repairs about 2 weeks ago and within 4 days, two nails fell off. Usually, when nails need to be fixed that quick, its a nail tech error. Most respected nail salons have a policy allowing clients with broken nails within less than 1 week to come in and get them redone since its due to an error in quality. I asked the manager, on the phone, if it was possible for them to be fixed free of charge. She denied me, and was very rude. It is never a customers fault for nails breaking off within 1-5 days after initial appointment. I did not want to pay for two nail repairs as it was not my fault. I used to love the salon but I'm never going back. Management is disrespectful.

if you're looking for that one review that gives you the reassurance that the place will be good, this is the one. first time trying this place today after trying many salons in the suburbs and this salon is downright great. I went in for a no chip mani pedi done by the lovely katie (hope you see this review!) and it was amazing. I have no complaints & she did a miraculous job in a short time! the salon itself is super clean, spacious & everybody is nice. you even get offered a water when you walk in, if I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. highly recommend.

I have been coming here for a while now, and recommendations from my best friend who‘s been coming here with her daughter for a long time. I must say this establishment is well-run by Helen, very clean, and friendly, and good technicians work here. I just had one of the best pedicures with Kim and Jimmy for my manicure. I give them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is TERRIBLE!! DON'T COME HERE TO GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED!! I'm guessing the esthetician that did my brows was in training, because it's no way I paid $14 for this horrible job. It doesn't look like she did anything! She was shaking and dropping wax on my shirt. I don't want a do over because I don't trust anyone at this point. And FYI, DON'T ask a customer if she's getting her lip waxed!! It's rude and unprofessional because you should know the service, let alone being a woman.
