We had approximately 1,200 feet of feet of oak flooring refinished on our first floor by Mr. Floor. Igor explained the process, including that our white baseboard and quarter rounds would need to be touched up in a few spots because keeping the stain from all the edges is impossible. Igor also explained that all their sanding tools are attached to a HEPA vacuum, and the dust would be minimal. The process was supposed to take a week to 10 days, and we planned to be away during this time. The crew that arrived explained that all of the baseboards would need to be painted because of their staining method. Also, the primary sanding tool was attached to a bag and not to a vacuum with a filter. Igor made excuses, stating that he never suggested that the baseboards would require minimal touch-ups and denied that all of the tools are connected to the vacuum. We requested a semi-gloss finish. The project manager recommended a satin finish but agreed to apply a semi-gloss finish. We moved ahead anyway. Mr Floor also had our deposit of 60%.
The sanding and staining process proceeded mostly as expected, with the dust level being less than we had anticipated. However, upon our return, we discovered that the applied finish was satin, not the semi-gloss we had requested. The project manager insisted that it was a semi-gloss finish, despite it being noticeably different from the semi-gloss on our second floor. Even when we pointed out that the crew used a finish labeled as 'satin,' he claimed that they had mixed that finish in their factory. We demanded that they make the floor finish semi-gloss, and the project extended into its 10th day. The project manager then suggested applying a high-gloss finish to achieve the desired semi-gloss finish. The resulting finish was too glossy, so a final semi-gloss finish was applied before it looked as expected. A new project manager who saw the satin finish confirmed that the first finish was indeed satin, not semi-gloss, so the first project manager wasn't honest with us. During the project, we had to point out a few thresholds that should have been refinished and some dings on the floor that should have been patched - they addressed all of the issues. The project took nearly three weeks before we could return. We asked Mr. Floor to deduct $500 from the price, and they agreed.
While painting the baseboards, we noticed quite a bit of polyurethane spatter on them and the walls. We should have requested that they tape off the baseboards and walls. After painting the baseboards and quarter rounds, the results are ok, but they no longer have that crisp edge. We're still trying to find paint that matches our kitchen cabinets, which have floor stain residue in many places.
The resulting floor looks good, but we regret that Mr. Floor wasn't honest with their mistakes and promises. While they ultimately corrected the finish issue, it did require us to live out of the house for an additional week. Just be aware of what you're getting into and consider it when negotiating a price. Also, ensure that your expectations are stated clearly in the agreement.

I installed new floors to match my existing floors and sanded the existing floor. I worked with Igor, Joe, and the crews for my project.

---Joe is the project manager assigned to our project. He sent us daily emails and photos to keep us updated on the progress, sometimes two emails a day, before coating and after coating.
---The quality of the work is also remarkable done by the group of crews, Joel and others. My floor had a deep dent which I know it will not be fixed by sanding so I did not mention it. But to my surprise when I had the final walk through, I found they had fixed the dent as well.

My wife and I had our floors re-stained and from planning the project to completing it, everything was great! Communication was amazing, we were given daily updates by Joe, which included pictures for reference. They also provided expertise in choosing stain color. I would definitely use their services again!

I emailed David at Mr. Floor about a white film and streaks on my wood floor. It looked terrible. I couldn’t figure out what was causing it, and nothing I did would get rid of it. David answered my email immediately! (It was Friday afternoon) David suggested a couple of things but the film was still there. I decided to buy Mr. Floor’s cleaner and mop system. It came within 2 days! I used it today and oh my! This worked like a charm! My floor is beautiful and film free again. Quality product and superb customer service! Mr. Floor will be my go to from now on!

We had a great experience with Mr Floor from the initial (competitive) quote to the final cleanup, we found the crews to be very professional. Our floor was in terrible shape needing some repairs and staining. Now, they look new.
If we need flooring work in the future, we will definitely call them first.

Mr. Floor is a group of professionals who are committed to their job and customer satisfaction. We recently bought a house and needed some flooring work done. We had several companies in to propose solutions for our squeaky kitchen floor. Aron listened to us and gave us three alternates as opposed to the other companies who said either refinish all floors or refinish just this part but expect a bad match. Advin then made sure it was executed right. We are very satisfied with the result and can now prepare our meals with quiet floors.

The mop, pads, and cleaning solution clean the wood floors in my house better than anything I have ever tried in the past and it was easy. The fragrance wasn’t overpowering (lemony smell) and dissipated quickly, and the floors look and feel very clean. I also really appreciated the detailed instructions for using the Mr. Floor products effectively.And it is also very important to note that I had an issue with my delivery, and it was handled quickly and professionally. I had direct contact with David Shiba at the company and he was super helpful in resending my order right away and answering questions I had. I highly recommend their products and customer service!

We have used Mr. Floor twice. Once a few years ago to screen and refinish a condo floor. The floors were old, discolored, creaky and highly waxed. Mr. Floor did the entire condo and the floors came out beautifully! Creaks were fixed by replacing a few boards. Recently, Mr. Floor removed carpeting and refinished the LR and DR floors in our new place. The floors were in very bad condition with big stains and lots of scuff marks and some unevenness. Mr. Floor sanded and coated them and while they don't look new (they are 123 years old floors), they do look excellent! So happy with the outcome! Service is top notch. Mr. Floor is quick to respond and on time. They review all details with the customer - including showing a test spot with finish so the customer approves the floor color before they start the job. They provide an honest assessment of the condition of the floors and what can be done with them. As for price, it is basically in line with o quotes from other contractors. Highly recommended. I would go back them again with any hardwood flooring needs!
