I think it’s important I share my experience. Because I would have given LifeTime 5 stars a while back. & was a big advocate for others to join at one point & time.Due to my skin tone , I’m not afforded the same comfort as the other patrons , which is consistent amongst my other friends who attend this location. & some who have cancelled membership due to this VERY MATTER! Skokie is diverse & the employees should respect every patron that walks in the door EQUALLY.The amenities are nice. But limited arbitrarily based on who you are , and/or how the microaggressive yoga instructor or Lifeguard are feeling that day, which is preposterous behavior, for people who are in theory customer success representatives.All in all, facilities are nice. But packed for a large portion of the day every day. The amenities look nice on paper but there will be a miserable employee who will arbitrarily intrude on your workout , comfort , and experience due to their PERSONAL MISERY. When you combine that with the price (which I saw the value in until these semi-recent and consistent discoveries , I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. Especially if you aren’t white. Teetering on the edge of Cancellation & legal action if I’m being honest.Proposed Solution: Don’t hire physically unfit people to work at a Premium Gym. Science says working out is correlated to happiness. You can’t trust those who don’t have a relationship with the gym to navigate your customer experience it reflects poorly on the brand on multiple fronts.

If I could give a zero I WOULDI spent almost an hr on the phone speaking with Chris who was rude and absolutely helpless. Cut me off multiple times, I asked to speak with a manager and he just put me on hold and said “my manager actually called me and said the same thing and there’s nothing we can do about it”I’m under a corporate partnership which gives you $100 off and he tried to tell me his system only says we get $50. So I emailed a picture from the QR code I signed up for. Still didn’t try to help me TOTAL SCAMWorst customer service-you do not get what you pay for

Don’t fall for this fancy look gym. The price is not for the service rendered . Management service is horrible. They don’t care about customer sarisfaction. Once you bring up a problem, they ignore it even though they might say it would be considered . But later again and again you will see the same problem .

This is a really great gym for all kinds of people, from casuals to serious athletes. The gym sections are very large and have all kinds of equipment (treadmills, free weights, and machines) that anyone would need. There are also lots of classes and extras that go with it (IE a cafe, salon, pool, etc).I can give it a solid 4/5 but not a 5 because the price is prohibitive. You can get the same kind of high-end gym floors and extra perks at other chains and locations for considerably less cost. This is a great health club if you qualify for a discount, but otherwise your money may go much farther at a different place.

Life time old orchard has come a long way and with recent renovations it’s hard to say it’s “old orchard”, but seems more like “New Orchard” to me! Kudos to all the staff and all their hard work it really shows! Look forward to more great things and my health journey/social athletic country club life!

I have been a member since 2008 and Lifetime Old Orchard, Skokie IL has turned into a non premier gym who takes their long time members for granted. I am disappointed by the staff, the culture, and the administration at Lifetime Fitness.

Hands down, best choice I’ve made for a better lifestyle! EXTREMELY friendly team who make me actually want to go in and workout. The new management is what has changed the game here I have seen the positive changes. I recommend you speak with GM Shahd with any issues. She will listen and be on top of it! I look forward to walking through the doors again and always feeling amazing when I leave. Love this place!

My entire family has been members here for six months. This location, the one we initially signed up for and the only one close to our house, recently closed down the entire aquatic area for over half a month. During this time, we couldn't access the kids' pool, sauna, or lap swim – activities we primarily engage in here. Despite asking several times if they would suspend our membership or provide a partial refund, they insisted we could use other locations, which are 40 minutes away. I didn't sign up for another location, but I reluctantly agreed. Today, when we returned with our kids, the pool supervisor, Debbie, enforced unnecessary rules, insisting we stay 10 feet from our kids, even though they can swim. She also interrupted other kids' play in the water. Is this pool just for show? Let the kids play – that's what this area is for. If Debbie is bored, she should attend to more pressing matters, like cleaning the sauna glass or addressing smelly towels. I've been patient, but Debbie's actions suggest being nice might not be enough.

It is so nice to walk into a club and receive a smile after a long, hard day at work! The staff are so friendly! I'm sure it's been difficult with all of the construction but the new changes are what we have been asking for! I know it will be amazing when it's finished!

I recently visited my gym, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The facility appears to be in a state of neglect, with cleanliness and hygiene concerns that are hard to overlook. The unsanitary conditions make it challenging to enjoy a workout.Moreover, the recent change in management, particularly the new general manager, has introduced a negative atmosphere. Their demeanor is far from welcoming, and it's disheartening to witness such a decline in customer service. For the amount of money spent on membership, the overall value and experience no longer justify the cost.It is my sincere hope that the gym's management takes immediate action to address these issues. Considering the impact of the new general manager on the overall environment, I strongly believe that a change in leadership is necessary for the well-being and satisfaction of its members.
