Couldn't be more happy with my move. Devon Moving Company was very efficient with their time, a great value, and they got my move done in exactly two hours which was just incredible.

I will make an attempt to make some constructive criticism so that maybe it will help the owner of this company and all of his employees.1) Email responsiveness was very poor from the beginning. I never got ANY responses for some of my emails. Email responses did not answering my questions. There is no security deposit confirmation email/phone call.2) My description on what needs to be moved, how glass should be covered(with boxed paper), and what I need help with at a storage facility was completely ignored and moves had no info of any kind from the owner. Movers came completely unprepared and this created a lot of confusion.3) Please be on time. 20min late is unacceptable. If I call the owner 10min after movers are not here, and he is telling me "few more min" like this is not a big deal. 10 more min go by and the movers pull their truck and stand there for 5min staring at me, something is off with the business. I confirmed that it will be exactly 10am the day prior.3) NO shoe covers. I was clear that only three items needed to be moved(not moving from house to house). Please invest in shoe covers.4) Save mover's teeth by investing into at least one Packing Tape Gun. It goes a long way. It was hard watching them bite duct tape all the time.5) Provide proper training to your employees. Why do I need to argue about every little thing that I ask moves to do? I have simple requests and they fail to follow them and then argue with me telling me I should be doing something else. This is not how it works.6) As an owner, if you come to see me in-person after the move. Do not under any circumstances ask me to tip your drivers. If you have forgotten everything that I mentioned to you and made a mistake every step of the way, have proper expectations. Again, this is not how things work.Please take care of your employees and your future customers. Running a business is not easy if you don't have proper systems and processes in place.

Do not recommend. This moving company damaged our property while moving items for tenants in the building and did not take care or safety precautions to ensure this wouldn’t happen. When I reached out to the company with photos of the damages and a request for replacement ($30-$40 nothing outlandish) they answered a couple emails and then completely stopped responding.I was emailing them for months to get this handled and still haven’t heard back since last year when my request for an update went ignored. Very unprofessional in my opinion that they would not take this seriously.

Long overdue for a move from august 2021. Small local operation I relieved I could trust after reading horror story reviews of moving companies/brokers. Excellent all the way through. Cheapest rate I got for a same-day move from IL to IN. Flat rate and not hourly like some other companies. Frank sent 3 men who were timely, professional and super efficient. They got my items wrapped and down to the truck in no time. Items were delivered in good condition and on time as discussed. Only complaint was that we told them to wrap the tv remote to the TV so it wouldn't get lost, and they didn't, and of course the remote was lost. Wasn't reimbursed for the remote but no biggie

Moving with Devon was one of the biggest blessings we experienced this year, thanks to our unexpected long distance moving across the country. The owner, Frank, is a master in project management for his business model. He is also excellent at retaining his crew and keeping them professional, passionate, and efficient in the quality packing and heavy lifting they do every day. We ended up using Devon three times during July - Aug. this year. It all started with a partial move to storage for staging the house at the request of our realtor. Due to the short notice, the moving companies we were referred to had no openings. We randomly called Devon based on good reviews. Frank, the owner, also had no open slots but he moved around their crews, trucks, and schedule quickly and made it happen for us. The second time of the moving was the most challenging - Devon's crew packed and Frank drove a full 27 feet truck himself 2000 miles across the country and delivered our important and fragile furniture in just 3 days without damage, where he unloaded the whole day under the burning sun of over 100F. The 3rd time was to have Devon pack and load the rest of our belongings into a U-Pack. His team was spontaneous to calculate and optimize the void volume so that many inches were saved on the trailer and our shipping cost was lowered. Frank also went the extra mile to find us receiving end movers, negotiated the price, and checked in on us during the U-Pack unloading day. Last, but not least, after the final payment, Frank informed us and returned about $300 we accidentally overpaid him by miscalculation. Devon is not any moving company with good reviews, it is a business that partners with its clients to deliver the best outcome out of every stressful moving project.

Had a long distance out of state move with Devon Movers. While the communication could have been a bit better on both of our ends in determining the exact scheduling of the move, I can't say nothing but good things regarding everyone involved. The movers who came to pick up my things in the apartment were professional, they wrapped and disassembled my furniture very well, and packed it appropriately into the truck.Upon delivery, everything was accounted for (I personally took inventory via pictures of all of my boses), I did not have any damaged items, and Frank with Devon Movers assembled my furniture appropriately with local hired help in my out of state move.If you're in the Chicago area moving out of state and do not want to deal with another national company where you're dealing with different movers/drivers/trucks, give this company a call when you're doing your appropriate research into determining who will be your mover. You will not be disappointed.

I would highly recommended Devon Moving Company.I called Frank to schedule a move and initially the team was booked for the day. My schedule was inflexible, so Frank moved some things around to make it work for me. I really appreciated the flexibility from the start.Day of - the moving team showed up and executed carefully and efficiently. They were incredibly adaptable (5 floors of stairs when the elevator was too small) and maintained a professional demeanor throughout. I hope to work with them in the future as well!

Great company! I researched almost 20 different companies before closing Devon and I'm so happy I went with them. I contacted Frank at Devon one week before a last minute out of state move I was making from Chicago to Philadelphia. He gave me a very reasonable quote and seemed like a no-BS kind of guy. I appreciated his transparency from the beginning. The guys who do the actually moving were fast, efficient and just great at what they do! Moving is so stressful and this company made it an extremely smooth experience.

We've used Devon Mover on several occasions. Most recent was a 6000 ft residence with a circular structure, very challenging move, however not one scratch, on time, executed perfectly. Honest, professional, reliable.
