This store is dirty, unorganized and many shells are empty. The new manager has run this store into the ground. The new manager is rude to customers and employees. His behavior this has trickled over to his employees. When the old manager ( I believe her name was Sibi) the store was clean, employees were friendly and the store was well stocked. It looks like a place that is going out of business.

They were sent a prescription at 10:30am. I got a text saying they received it. Waited for it to be filled. Heard nothing. Called at 2. On the phone for 40 minutes and they hing up on me. My dad drove there and they said it was in back order and has been fir months. If thats the case they should have let me know before 3. Then they had the gall to give my dad a number to have the prescription sent to another pharmacy-uh not my job. They need to pay me a pharmacist salary to do THEIR job. Meanwhile my 6 year old triplets are crying in pain and I can not help them. The pharmacy need to be taught how to do their jobs and not pass it on to the parents of sick children. This is a wasted day and unacceptable behavior.

My dr sent in a prescription 11am on a Sunday. A text said it would be ready 3:20pm. It was marked in process until it was filled Tuesday late morning then marked on hold. Due to lack of car I was finally able to get there Thursday morning. The guy looked it up, said give us 10 min. I asked if it said a reason why it was on hold, he said no. No further explanation. The reason this went on so long is they no longer answer the phone to find out why it cant be picked up. A similar thing happened in April til my dr was furious. While I was waiting, the ringing phone kept announcing "pharmacy call". No one ever answered. That explains being on hold forever. I even called the now closed pharmacy in April to find out the prescription status as they answered. They installed a self checkout and no one is ever by the front registers anymore. I really dread having to change back to Walgreens for prescriptions but this place has gone downhill especially the pharmacy.

horrible pharmacy service. Ever since they closed the CVS at Dempster and St. Louis, everyone's account was transferred to this CVS. Obviously they doubled the workload here without adding personnel.

7 TO 9 PEOPLE IN LINE TO PICK UP PRESCRIPTIONS. 33 MINUTES IN LINE. ONLY ONE CASHIER. THIS IS THE WORST CVS IN THE CHAIN. 4001 MAIN SKOKIE

Today I went in to pick up a few items and I gotta say Shilpy was the nicest most helpful person I've ever encountered at a CVS! The one on Dempster I always seem to run into a chic that has the biggest attitude for no reason... so this experience was refreshing to say the least. I did tell her manager Mike who didn't seem too interested he just said for me to write something online...

This store is always short on merchandise. And they never seem to replenish the stock. There are always some empty shelves. It always looks like they are on the brink of going out of business.

SUMMARY: Don't shop here. Instead, drive 1 mile northeast to the CVS on Dempster for a much safer and pleasant experience. I switched to this pharmacy last summer (after the fantastically run store at Lincoln and Touhy closed and I tried a few other CVS stores). I used to like this CVS, but I believe there was a change in personnel in the last few months (specifically, I no longer see a certain pharmacist). 1) To repeat another recent reviewer, the store shelves and products are filthy with thick layers of dust. 2) Also, the bathroom is always filthy. Giant dead bugs and cobwebs in the corner. Brown smears on the floor (mud? feces?). Overflowing trash can. Makes me wonder how sanitary it is behind the pharmacy counter. (sidenote: In restaurants, the amount of cleanliness of the bathroom is usually in direct correlation to the cleanliness of the kitchen.) 3) Claustrophobic. Like other small CVS stores, the aisles are narrow. Now that Covid is here to stay, they should remove one or more set of store shelves to make the aisles bigger. Or at least remove some of the shelving directly in front of the pharmacy cash registers. It is absolutely impossible to keep a 6 foot distance (or even 3 feet) at the pharmacy registers. At least they got rid of the tables in front of the cash registers (put there when covid broke out) 4) At least one of the pharmacy technicians is incompetent: a) On one occasion, she didn't know how to "inactivate" my older prescriptions and almost started arguing with me when I insisted that it had to be possible for safety reasons. At least she called over another person just before I lost my temper. b) On another occasion, she didn't know how to make any changes to my computer profile. c) And on yet another occasion, during covid lockdown, (and when there was still a 3'x6' table in front of the pharmacy cash registers): She told the person in front of me (who had an issue) to sit in the chairs. She then told me to stand next to that person because she was on the register right next to the chairs. 5) One time they only gave me 50 pills instead of 150 pills. 6) No drive-thru 7) This issue is supposedly is a corporate problem: The CVS robot keeps contacting my doctor's office (without my permission) asking for my prescriptions to be refilled, despite a manually entered "note" stating I don't want them to do so. However, the CVS robot for the Devon Lincolnwood store doesn't do that. But they do keep texting me every month if I want a refill for prescriptions that I haven't filled in almost a year and have archived. I tried to contact CVS directly about these issues before writing this review. However, there is a 10+ minute wait when you call the corporate number to complain. I will no longer fill any prescription or shop at the CVS on Main at Crawford in Skokie. I am also considering changing to Walgreens or other pharmacy.

I've been trying to avoid these bad ratings during such harsh times but a big company like CVS has no excuse. This store is DIRTY. I mean it is dirty, the products all have dust on them, your hands are visibly soiled after shopping here, and the best part is; its not busy. What the excuse? Now more than ever should hygiene and cleanliness be a priority. The manager of this location needs a reality check. Please help your shoppers and more importantly your employees with a cleaner environment! Save yourself the misery and visit Walgreens a street north on Dempster and Crawford, doesn't get any cleaner than that!

Since they closed the CVS in Lincolnwood, on Touhy, this location has been my go to. Sure, there's one on Dempster (by the Crab Boil) and another at Devon and Crawford and yet another on Dempster (by China Town restaurant), but this location seems to be the most convenient. It's a bit smaller than most but the parking lot is always clear and the folks there are attentive and crabby - but that's ok, some people are naturally crabby, like having an adorable, crabby cat. Anyway, the items have been well stocked, and there have been no issues. I have always questioned the design of this building, which is on a corner - it could have been made to look so much better. Perhaps they can beautify this building so that it can be more enticing to customers when driving down Crawford.

When I need milk and other little things I come here. I've never had a prescription filled at the pharmacy so I can't comment on that. But every time I shop here the employee at the cash register has been friendly. Their grocery area has decent selection, though I don't think they sell alcohol. I drive past a Walgreens to go to this CVS and I usually prefer Walgreens, but my closest Walgreens is crazy busy and not friendly.
