They carry things that big box stores do not.Lumber is generally higher quality than big boxers as well.They have PenOfin wood stain. Barn door kits.Staff are knowledgeable.

Moved into the neighborhood about a year ago. Crafty Beaver has been a great place for me to get materials and tools for working on the new home. Way more personal than the big box stores. I'm getting to know the workers there, they're all super knowledgeable and willing to help.

My back door & storm door are falling apart. A blonde in a hardware store....the big box placed as welll as a heavily advertised local door & window joint think they can tell you anything. But CB always tells the truth. There isnt a single person affiliated with them that doesnt know hardware really well. Called in a panic & rather get"doors will take 15 wks I got the actual lowdown. And you cant miss the ever present nostalgia of the place. A real hardware store that Father Knows Nest or Beaver cleavers dad would totally recognize as doing a solid good job.They desrve 10 stars. FABULOUS. And a special thank you to Beau for being kind as well as awesome.
