Great facility and dedicated staff. They helped me adopt out three feral kittens. Each kitten had health issues and CARE paid all the vet bills. Everyone was incredibly supportive.

This is a wonderful organisation rescuing dogs and cats. The shelter is incredibly clean and well equipped, has parking and the volunteers are lovely. Not to mention the dogs and cats who temporarily live here!
Since 1987, Community Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) has been promoting adoptions and care for dogs and cats. The volunteer-driven, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization has expanded to serve Chicago’s North Shore communities by supporting positive relationships between people and companion animals. C.A.R.E. places companion pets into forever homes, and serves as an educational and counseling resource.
