I went to this place today to deposit some money and I wanted to invest some money. I was sitting there waiting for the investment broker and an asian lady that was working in the counter, started asking who I was waiting for. The conversation was very rude. She was behind the counter and I was in theseating area. It was a rude conversation, I was even embarrassed to talk about my accounts and what I was looking for. While she discourage me to invest month by month. Then she told me to go to one of the offices to learn more about Citi investment.
I felt relieved because my personal accounts are not of a public domain. She was softer and more polite there. And we had a more civil conversation.
Then she asked reckless questions, she wanted to know how much money I had in other banks. I was wondering if she knew athe world "privacy"
THAT girl had no idea how to be polite, courteous and civilized when talking about business. In the end, all interest in investing was lost, and I don't think I'll ever set foot in a Citibank branch like that again.

i'll keep this simple - DO NOT BANK HERE. We wanted to open a basic checking account. The personal banker had a very authoratative tone with me, saying he would stop the process if my SSN didn't work without a card. Refused to start the process until my husband came in from the parking lot. Asked unnecessary questions regarding our home loan and other bank we use. An HOUR later, the account was still not open due to "system issues". We asked he call us before 5p to confirm if the account was opened or not. 3 days later he called to say the account was almost ready but we needed to return and resign for the account. Needless to say, i asked him to shred all documents and close out the account. We took our banking elsewhere. Another bank took 10min to open an account.

Can highly recommend the Evanston location. First they were the only location of three called that answered at the location rather than letting the call go to central answering. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and took the time necessary to handle a difficult issue.

There’s never enough banker. Makes their customers wait and wait but at the end, asking customers to make an appointment people with less time cannot do any. They need more bankers!!!

Under staffed and unprofessional. Expect long wait times and amateur service. My last two visits had a minimum wait time of 40 mins.I have been given misleading and unclear information resulting in my wasting my time beyond the wait time in the bank. Horrible experience overall with this location.

If you have an infinite amount of time and an endless amount of patience you won't mind coming to this location and be given unprofessional service, incorrect information, and amateur bankers. The tellers are great though. They're all very sweet and do their jobs just fine. Need a roll of quarters or make a large deposit? Come on in. Have more pressing matters and need a banker? Go somewhere else.

I have never seen such a helpless, unprofessional and bad banker in this location. The experience in July meeting with a banker to open a checking account is really terrible. The banker seems to be a rookie at all and did not know how to do with that. He spent around 3 hour with me to just open an account and kept asking his manager for all kinds of questions. After opening the account, he didn't even give me the debit card and didn't place it online to be sent to me! He said to me he had limited time to deal with my issue because there were other customers waiting in the lobby. What??? OMG, I even forgot his name like Ajha?Two weeks later, I had to call Citi to ask for my debit card. Such a terrible banker and experience with Citi. NEVER RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO COME TO THIS LOCATION WITH THE BAD BANKERS! They will waste your time!!!

My wife stopped in and actually worked with the manager, she had some fraud on her card and was there for 2 hrs. The guy took her phone and was going through her emails. I will be contacting district manager about this. Took advantage of her!
