worst customer service reps I have EVER had the pleasure to deal with... I am trying to leave my home town to drive 5.5 hours to Omaha, Nebraska because of an unexpected death in my family. I'm a single mother of 2 girls, and having to take work off and throw my kiddos into a car is hard enough - on top of the sadness from a death, but ... I've now deposited a $2,000.00 check into my account, and they put a lock hold on it until Wednesday! (deposited Monday)... I have been a customer of theirs for 26 years and not one person, of 8 I spoke to had any sympathy, let alone, any kind of reasonable solutions. they must all be robots- legit, zero f*cks given for our very unfortunate situation. I have no debit/credit card, and because they do not have this bank there, I tried to see if they could help me attach to my paypal, 2 of the reps wouldn't even check if it was because of their end or PayPal's end for me. I am now withdrawing my money and they can all go straight to h*%¥ for all I care. they obviously sleep well at night knowing they have the WORST customer service ever! ps... I've been in people person careers my entire life, so yes, I have a very good understanding to their jobs. Thank u for making this mayyyybe the worst day of my entire life

Definitely has gone downhill. Mortgage department is pretty much worthless. I was basically given a useless mortgage approval letter with NO numbers stated. My agent couldn't use it. Oh, and they hit my credit score and gave me NOTHING in return. Needless to say; am closing my account.

Went there today to try and find out about my account and was treated like I was stupid. The person who did nothing but tell me the same thing over and over did not listen to my question and acted like I was the dumbest thing that she had talked to. Going to go to another bank maybe I will be treated as a customer and maybe they will care a little more

It never fails that anytime I need to check my bank balance or use my debit card, their site is "under maintenance." They never send out any kind of message about these outages either, I have to find out when my app isn't working. Of course it is outside of business hours when this happens and the automated line does not have an option to check your account balance. Additionally, when you do call to try and get ahold of someone, I hope you don't have any plans that day because you are about to spend all afternoon on hold trying to get to a real person. If you can, bank anywhere else in the Quad Cities.

Wow, I usually love dealing with credit unions, bc they're usually friendly and always helpful and costumer service is usually superb. Yeh well NOT THIS ONE. Terrible, do not care about costumers at all.

They appear to have changed things on or about 9/1/2021. Account number I had used for year was rejected and the autopay set up to pay on various accounts got rejected. Late fees and more. Called them and got answers that nothing changed. Sent the Branch Manager three emails describing the issue and not on response back. These emails contained documentation of the account being accepted in previous months with no issue. I have left three voice mail messages to the Branch Manager as well and no response. My membership goes back to the 70's but I now know loyalty has no rewards.

THE WORST BANK IVE EVER DEALT WITH. Ever! If I could give a 0 star I would. Whoever Laquisha?! is has no idea of her own company, their policies or their mailed documents, nor does she know how to speak to guests over the phone. I've had to call IH for the SAME ISSUE 3X!!! It should have been resolved that first call but NO! Every call I've had has been no less then 30min! No feature for a callback option. If you want to bank with a credit union, PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE IH! They have been screwing people over for years!

I don't understand why everyone doesn't use a credit union.

I have used IHMVCU for several vehicle loans the past 5 or so years. When I recently found a house I wanted to purchase, I figured I would continue my relationship with IHMVCU and apply for a mortgage loan. After being run around like a bumbling idiot for 6 weeks and FINALLY closing on my house, I would now not recommend IHMVCU to my worst enemy. After calling my lender from IHMVCU and informing her I had placed an offer on a house that was accepted by the seller, things went down hill, fast. My lender had me running across town to my bank 3-4 times PER week, printing and getting "official" bank statements. Nothing was ever good enough. After talking to several close friends that recently purchased homes in the last year, and finding out they ONLY had to provide statements during "preapproval" stages and shortly before closing, I realized IHMVCU was NOT the place to get a mortgage loan. To add to things, my lender had me running to my bank, yet again, to print copies of checks I had received MONTHS ago, 4 DAYS BEFORE MY SCHEDULED CLOSING DATE. I'm no certified mortgage lender, but you'd think they'd ask for those things far before the scheduled closing date. I kid you not when I say IHMVCU had me running around town like a bumbling idiot, back and forth, to and from my bank, printing off pages and pages of bank statements. Many of said statements showed the EXACT same info as the previous, with the only addition being a day or two of additional transactions. I'm very fortunate that my job is flexible and allows me to take off and leave when needed. I understand this may not sound like a major issue to the lay person, but I am not kidding when I say IHMVCU had me running to the bank 3-4 times A WEEK, for 6 weeks straight. IHMVCU will no longer have my business for further vehicle or mortgage loans. Please, do yourself a favor and find a different credit union to finance through. -Nick Clinton, Iowa

I've had this credit union for 12 years.. they are awful. TheApp doesn't work half the time, their option's aren't always user friendly. In my opinion they are no different then a bank, They charge me 5 dollars to move my own money from account to account. On multiple occassions I did not get my ATM fees back on my card like I was suppose too. I've had my account information stolen (not blaming them) but the way the handled the situation was not professional at all. Cant wait to be done with them.

Let me start by saying that I have literally been a lifelong member of IHMVCU. I had a savings account set up for me when I was a young toddler and have continued using them for my banking into adulthood. I've had just about every type of account that IH offers. I was and still am a fan of IHMVCU, however I feel it is necessary to bring light to an issue I had with them recently. In April, I applied for a mortgage refinance due to rates being so low. I locked in at a great rate and I was thrilled to be lowering my payments and mortgage term. The loan originator I was working with was Brian Griffith. Brian's communication was great for a week or so, but then things went downhill. When I committed to refinancing in April, I was told closing would be mid-June due to an influx in refinance applications. That was fine with me. He walked me through gathering all the necessary documents and signatures, which I promptly supplied. June rolls around so I send him an email asking for an update on the closing date. I hear nothing back. I decide to email an assistant named Krissi who helped gather some documents since I didn't hear from Brian. She gave me a 45 day estimate for closing. July rolls around and at this point I'm starting to get frustrated-- there had been no communication aside from me having to reach out to ask when closing is. I reach out again to ask for an update. I'm told everything is good to go, but it will be 90 days. August rolls around so I send yet another email asking for an update. At this point, it is past the original mid-June closing estimate, the 45 day estimate, AND the 90 day estimate. Upon going back and looking through my online refinance documents, the closing date was originally set for June 15, 2020. It is now August 5, and the only reason I heard from Brian yesterday is because I reached out to him. No one has called, emailed, or communicated with me in any way to give me a heads up as to what is going on with my refinance. Had I known this would be such a painful and drawn-out process, I would've gone with another lender. Luckily I was able to walk away from the refinance without penalty and get my appraisal fee refunded. Unfortunately IHMVCU really missed the mark on this one and upset a lifelong customer in the process.
