In my 13 years of trucking, I have never encountered as slow and incompetent of a shop as Transchicago Truck Group-Shorewood, IL. We brought our 2021 FRHT into the shop primarily for multiple warning lights on the dash on Oct. 15th. They FINALLY pulled it into the shop on Oct. 23rd, wrote up the estimate. They did (and charged) the diagnosis on our complaint, then found a warranty issue, and said that the simple sam was bad (which in all of these years and over 20 trucks have never had to replace one). We waited for them to complete this work until November 7th. My driver picked up the truck and within a 1/2 mile all of the lights were back on. They charged me for the initial diagnosis of customer complaint lights on the dash, but didn't address the issue after the diagnosis. Apparently, no one from the shop bothered to drive it to ensure the problem was fixed, as they would have noticed the lights come back on.
We took it immediately back to the shop where then they said that the Nox sensor is bad, the threads were stripped and they don't know when the truck will be ready. Today is Nov. 11th, 2024 and this truck has now been in the shop for almost a month. AVOID THIS SHOP unless you have all the time in the world and don't care if your problem is actually fixed.

This dealer is very slow. My truck has been lying there for more than a month, I had to repair the bridge, they said that they had finished with the truck, but they just can’t prepare the paperwork for payment, it’s been two days and I’m still waiting…

New truck , leaking oil from sterling while hub, and air leak on air dryer , come to them to fix air leak 5 min job , need to wait 5 days.

One of the best dealers I’ve had the pleasure to deal with they tracked down the part number right down to see if it was in stock by visually going to see not just checking on the screen very good staff and just all around nice people.

Overall low star review because its deseved. Only do business with this place when it's the absolute last resort. Disrespectful staff. Change prices on parts from one phone call to the next, even had a recording and they would not honor it (only 60$ difference but it's about the principal of allready communicating costs with my customer and then having transchicago change price)

The service dept. is horrible. The communication is non-existent and the technician brought my truck around an hour ago and I'm still waiting on my paperwork. This is the second dealing with the dealership and the experience is getting worst. Avoid this place if you can or you will be stuck here at least four days no matter what the issue is.

Everyone involved went out of their way to get us taken care of in a very timely fashion so we could be on our way. The technician Jerry and Maureen the dispatcher went above and beyond to help us and get us taken care of . Really good people to work with!

Guys i have one thing to say, all of this bad reviews the people put it here is literally true!!!!! This place sucks don't waste your time, so slow and un professional cause i feel on my own! Good luck for those who still waiting in line
