bad smell in the showers and dirty machines it stinks in this location, the thermostat in the sauna is broken, in one word, it's crap, the staff is sitting and looking at their phones

asked and called ahead if we can bring a guest to this exact location as per the membership we PAID for, but Mark, the man at the front said we were not allowed, even after telling him all this he insisted we pay for the 20$ guest fee so he can get his little commision. 0 star service

I’ve been going to the Schaumburg location for a few years. Overall, I like the staff. There is one manager that does seem to be more about himself and makes it feel like he’s inconvenienced anytime someone approaches him. But for the most part the staff and trainers are great.
They have a ton of different pieces of equipment… free weight, cardio, machines, etc. they offer quite a few aerobic classes if that’s your thing.
Now the bad part about this location. The amount of machines that are broken, condition of the pads, etc are horrible. At one point, only 1 stair climber was working, the leg press machine was coming out of the floor mounting causing a trip hazard (was like this for months), water leaking from the roof with buckets throughout the floor, water leaking into the carpet from the pool or shower area.. not sure where. The bathrooms… I’ve seen multiple toilets overflowed consistently, and the bathrooms as you can see in other reviews are in horrible condition

The dirtiest and most outdated gym I’ve been to. Smells like urine when you get inside, the underground parking looks like haunted house!

It's a pretty nice gym. I've only recently started going to it after it's merger with LA Fitness. The room for yoga classes is pretty small but no complaints so far. Locker rooms are always clean and smell fine. Haven't used the machines or dumbbells yet, but I'm sure they're fine too

Gym was convenient to my hotel. The equipment was old but functional. The gym was tidy - weights were racked & easily found.

I have not entered the bathroom even once and it has never smelled fresh. The steam is so hot that you cannot even stay for five minutes. Also, the bathroom smells like feet. The customer service is terrible. You are rarely greeted or wished a nice workout at the front desk. The guest I brought along paid $20 for a one-hour workout. Not once have I brought a guest here and the manager hasn't even allowed my guest to have a trial workout. He said I can't bring guests because I have a basic membership, which makes sense, but I've been a member for two years and have paid $34+, but have never brought any guests. At least I thought they would let my guest enter for free just for a day. I'm glad I changed my membership to basic, because it's not worth paying more for broken machines, a raining ceiling, dusty machines, and a rude manager. Poor customer service. I would not recommend this branch.

I came here because when I joined the staff was sweet and most of the space looked clean. However, as I started to go consistently I realized how many machines are out of service and how dirty this place is. I tried freezing my account and they’ve made it impossible to do so. Most of the space is unclean but they never fail to charge the maintenance fee.

I went there once since the merge with LA Fitness and I’m not planning to go there again until it gets a major remodel and deep clean. Tried 2 treadmills, both had issues. I spent there 15min and left.
