Value City Furniture USED to have amazing furniture and values… but not anymore. (In the past, we purchased living room furniture, dining room furniture, kitchen furniture, etc…all to our liking.) However, their updated return policy is not favorable for consumers. Seven (7) days is NOT enough time to make a decision on a major purchase. We ordered a reclining couch (manual) and love seat (power) and we are completely unhappy with both pieces. We attempted to return them within our 7 days, but because we were still on the fence, the restocking fee of 15%, plus delivery costs is why we decided to keep the furniture. (This would have been well over $500). BAD DECISION. We no longer enjoy hanging out in our family room… Our backs are killing us… it’s put a really bad taste in our mouths about future purchases. WORD TO THE WISE: Make sure you are REALLY, REALLY sure about your choices, or BE VERY WARY ABOUT SHORT-TIME RETURN POLICIES THAT INCLUDE RESTOCKING FEES.

Furniture is great.
But DO NOT purchase their warranty plan!!
Long story short a few months ago I wrote a review on here expressing my profound disappointment and frustration with the handling of our recent issues regarding a couch we purchased.
We initiated a claim through our paid warranty services, only to be informed that coverage was being denied on the grounds that the issue was classified as a transit problem ( when it wasn’t). Despite this, an employee from the Schaumburg store on Golf Road, who identified himself as the store manager MR Trujillo, assured us that he would personally handle the matter and ensure that the repair was completed regardless of the warranty’s decision.
Following this, we received a call from American Signature Furniture, arranging for a technician to visit our home.Unfortunately, the visit from the technician, Young, proved to be ineffective as he was only present to take pictures and did not provide any further assistance. Since that visit, we have heard nothing further, and our couch remains unresolved and in the same condition as before. Our follow-up calls with the warranty company and with your store have yielded no progress, with both maintaining that the repair cannot be covered. We did not even get a response from the manager who we spoke to earlier, and an employee said she has never heard of him. Hmm can you say shady!
Given that we made a substantial investment in both the furniture and the extended warranty, which is valid for five years, the current lack of resolution and the repeated run-around have been deeply disappointing. We expected a higher level of service and support, particularly given the significant purchase we made.
Again, I repeat do not purchase the warranty.

Terrible service, they gave me a date to go pick up my furniture and when I went they told me that they had not filled out the paperwork, they rescheduled me a date for 1 month later and when the day arrived they called me to tell me that they would arrive 3 months later. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Don't waste your time

Perfect! Delivery was one time and quick. Very respectful as a I requested them to remove their shoes , as they go up my living room. I love my sofa. Looks pretty in my living room.

I visited this location today and do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs. Victor was racist and so rude when I asked him a simple question and he barely answered. I felt like he didn’t wanna help because of my color and kept ignoring me. Never coming back here again.
