LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago is an ultimate indoor LEGO playground in Illinois. It is a 30,000-square-foot family attraction featuring two rides, ten LEGO build and play zones, a 4D cinema, and amazing LEGO sculptures, including a very cool model of Chicago. The center is great for little ones, particularly in the 5-8 age group, though some feel children aged 8-10 or older may age out of some activities. Visitors can spend about two to three hours there, or even an entire day. The 4D movies and VR experience are often highlighted as the best part. However, some processes, like the pictures and stamps, can be confusing without clear explanation. The place is often busy and can feel chaotic. While the jungle area and a large play area are fun, some guests feel the center is small with not too much to do and is best as a one-time visit. The on-site cafe is frequently described as slow, with limited options, horrible food, and not the best quality, leading to suggestions to bring your own snacks. Many also find the admission pricey and expensive for what is offered. The attached store, however, is noted as an ultimate place for LEGO enthusiasts with nearly every set available.
Loads of fun and a great place for kids and adult alike. Highly recomend spending the day here.

First time visit, was a really good experience. Exhibits were interesting and the 4d movie and open lego play were a huge hit with the kids. Only negative was an understaffed snack bar, leading to a line. Highly recommended.

4D movie was worth the price of general admission. I paid extra for a mini figure and the digital pictures but there's only 1 place to take a picture so it wasn't worth the extra $7 per person. Cafe is overpriced but the movie, rides, and play area were all great. very clean and not overly crowded
