Horrible horrible horrible experience with h and r block. Karl diverted my federal refund without my knowledge or proper consent and now they refuse to give me any information regarding my taxes and what they did in my behalf. I filed on Feb 22nd and as of May 21st the IRS still says they have not received my 2023 taxes return but when I log into my h and r block account it said BOTH state and federal have been submitted and completed and funded! And yet Noone can give me anymore answers than that. Beware of Kathy, she refused to help me when she called ME back and kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain to her that the IRS shows no tax return filed. She was very rude lady i have ever had to encounter. They already got paid to file my taxes and refuse to help me with anything else. (I only authorized my state to be diverted for payment-was also coursed into getting the product that I didn't need as I had cash to pay him for preparing my taxes at the feb 22nd and didnt understand why he was so adamant about the diviersion until I realized probably get insentives for using that product) don't use H and R block please! Pv or chino.

This is one of the most disorganized and unprofessional branches of anything I have ever witnessed. I received a letter from the state of IL saying I owed $$$ more money from 2019. This branch filed those taxes for 2019 to begin with so says something about the completeness…. I took the letter and all my 2019 tax documents into this is same location and discussed with a tax professional and office manager. Recognizing it was the last weekend before 4/15, I was agreeable to them not addressing my issue until after the tax deadline. I left all my paperwork in their possession (Saturday). They assured me they would get to my work Tuesday/Wednesday and call me with an update. An entire week goes by with no call. So the next Saturday I go back to the branch just to get my documents back. They are closed. After calling this office all morning I finally get through and they tell me my documents are being MOVED to another branch and I can’t get them until the following Tuesday! They never mentioned a word of this procedure when I dropped my documents off. Let alone having the professionalism to call me and tell me.
Let alone write the letter they assured me they could (for another $99 of course). Essentially this branch has held my documents hostage for 11 days while my 21-day response period to IL is ticking away. Maybe they want their clients to go to prison? Only thing I can think of here.
Save yourself the stress and the lack of sleep and avoid this branch at all costs.

Dipika is providing extra ordinary service and file the tax with pieceful mind. She will take care of each and everything eventhough missed from our end. Reserved agent to get Award from HR block. Doing the tax filing with HR block due to her only. Unbelieve service and customer friendly to answer all queries.

I recently worked with Ritu Trehan for my 2023 tax filing, and I couldn't be happier with the service provided. Ritu was incredibly professional and thorough - she identified an education tax credit that I was previously unaware of, and ended up saving me a nice sum of money. She also took the time to give me some helpful pointers on optimizing my finances to reduce my taxable income in the future. This is my first time going to a tax professional instead of filing myself, and I regret not doing it sooner.

Iwona at the Schamburg H&R Block next to Rosati's is great! She was friendly and knowledgeable and advised us on missing info to maximize our refund, which was FANTASTIC, because without those additions, we OWED the IRS and now they owe US!

I only use H&R block! The tax advance is a huge help. I never have any issues when coming to file taxes. I'm always in and out. Linda is a very knowledgeable tax preparer. Highly recommend her

Getting my taxes done with H&R Block was a really good experience, all the way from making the appointment, reminders or my upcoming appointment and during the tax return process. Mary was wonderful and very kind and thorough.
