I have been sending both of my daughters to Hadi School of Excellence for several years now. I'm happy with the curriculum and most of the teachers. Whatever concerns I have with certain teachers, the administration does address it. It has smaller class sizes, despite having certain grades combined. The teacher to student ratio is small, so they can offer individualized attention. I don't have experience with the preschool here, but for pre-K and above- it's great!

Here is a holistic review from a 17-year old that went to this school until the 5th grade and then transferred out to her local public school. I started going to Hadi School of Excellence in 2005 up until February of 2014. While attending Hadi School I never valued the quality of education, and the focus on a growth mindset. I always felt like I was pushed just enough to always do my best, but not feel overwhelmed by pressure. Hadi School is a small school compared to its public counterparts which are an advantage when working with kids in the elementary to middle school levels. The staff to student ratio made every student feel loved and valued, something I didn't feel when going to my public school. I mentioned that I had left Hadi School earlier than their graduation grade at the time. My family thought that the shift from private to public school would be so drastic, I would need some time to adapt. Honestly, looking back I don't really think it was necessary to make the switch that early but here are some takeaways about how I adapted to the public school life after. Hadi School doesn't currently go up till the 12th grade, and when I went it only went up to the 5th grade. It's grown a lot since then, but because it doesn't go up until high school, a transfer to another institution is needed. In my case, it was to a public elementary school in Prospect Heights. When I transferred to public school, I immediately noticed that I had learned the 5th-grade curriculum already. I remember on my first day of math class my teacher asked me why I was drawing during class and not paying attention. I looked at her and told her that I already learned this in the third grade and thought it was just review. My parents received letters telling them that from now on I would be in the accelerated honors program because I was so ahead (even though I was a year younger than everyone else in my class). Academically, Hadi school exceeds its public counterparts. Most people want to know, however, is how the social adjustment was to a public school, and honestly, it was fine. I will admit that while I was in Hadi School I didn't know how I was going to make friends or survive in a new school where no one would look like me or even know of my religion. The thing about Hadi School is that they make you leaders, and sometimes you don't realize it until you leave. I remember walking into my fifth-grade class and talking to all the people I saw and making friends instantly. They thought my hijab was cool and when they asked me why I wore it I was able to tell them because Hadi School trained me to be an ambassador for my religion. The transition wasn't even near as daunting as I had made it out to be in my head. Overall I'm so thankful to this school and have volunteered at a lot of their events, however, my efforts could still never repay the loving and nurturing environment this school built for me.

My son attended Preschool last year. We had such a pleasant experience that we enrolled our second son this year. The teachers are great in communicating via email or class Dojo app. We get daily/weekly updates on what students are working on and pictures/videos. There are many field trips and events planned out throughout the year. I would highly recommend Hadi School.

This was my Son's first formal experience to school last year when he was 2.5 years old. Pre school teachers were amazing !! Always smiling, so patient and very caring. My son always came home happy. We were so happy we enrolled him again this year. We had curiculum night which clearly explains the focus of the year. Communication is clear through Dojo app or very responsive through email. We got daily pictures of what kids are up to through the App.I am glad I found them !

I'm so saddened to have had such a negative experience from sending my 3 yr old to this school. My child was so happy and excited to go to school in the morning, saying hello to friends and teachers. It started a few weeks into the year. I would get phone calls from teachers saying he's crying uncontrollably. I ask what happened and I never get a clear answer. I thought it was an isolated event. Unfortunately nothing changes. I demanded that I get more information about what happens in the classroom and I don't get ANYTHING! There is almost ZERO communication. No transparency whatsoever. The classroom has no windows for parents or other staff members to monitor what goes on inside. I've had to forcefully pick up my child everyday at odd times because the staff doesn't know how to help him. The teachers aren't equipped to handle a typical preschooler, nor do they posses the necessary skills to help a child with transitions. Not to mention how YouTube is always playing in the classroom. ( YES kids are having unproductive screen time, lots and lots of it) I've tried my best to give them another chance... sadly it just kept repeating. My child had gotten hurt on multiple occasions, not once did I receive an accident report. Honestly whatever goes on in that classroom is a great mystery. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a case of neglect/ abuse. I'm so glad we have moved on since. My child had developed anxiety over going to preschool and had to be treated to feel better. This was extremely difficult for our family as Preschool sets the tone for how the child will feel in the following years of school. I hope other parents take note, demand to know what's happening inside the classroom getting DAILY reports. Overall I wouldn't recommend sending your young ones there at all. This is my experience and I've only shared to help other parents make the right decision.

Speaking from someone with a masters in education and who has taught a variety of grades for last 9 years, I can say with confidence: do NOT enroll your child at hadi school. I recently pulled my son out of their preschool program. Here's what we learned from Hadi school just by being there for 7 months (based on my concerns and concerns of several other parents): -zero daily or weekly updates - zero communication and zero professionalism -kids come home stressed out after preschool, are angrier and more aggressive -kids come home with bruises and cuts and never receive accident reports for -parents don't know what their kids are doing 7 hours a day - time is wasted -teachers play YouTube videos for the kids several times a day - overcrowded, tiny, unsanitary classrooms with not enough attention on the kids -when parents approach the teacher on normal school concerns, the teacher focuses on the child's home life, makes condescending assumptions, blames the parents (generally very unapproachable/defensive) -the teachers will blame and throw their aids under the bus for their own errors -teacher makes up stories about what your kids say and they use the same exact stories with other parents....creating major mistrust (parents talk, it's inevitble to find these things out) -teachers play with the kids' emotions, manipulate them and cause them worry unnecessarily about normal every day matters -absolutely no healthy snack policy; kids are given junk whenever and without parent consent. The list goes on. Additionally once you address your concerns with administration, the response is something like: "I stand by and support my teachers." SO RELIEVED I pulled my son out- he is now in a much better, healthier, transparent, trustworthy, happier learning environment where I know what he does everyday!

My daughter is in her third year at Hadi school, and we both love the school! From the academics, to the extra-curricular after-school clubs, to the teachers it's superb! I enrolled my younger daughter in pre-KG this year and she also goes to school happily every day. The class sizes aren't too big, and individual student attention is given by the teachers. My only wish is that it went all the way up to 12th grade!!!
