For a minimal effort and a fun event, you can help starving people around the globe. This is a very worthwhile charity- I try to do it every time the opportunity arises.

We went on a afternoon with our kids and had a great time! We would highly recommend this as a family outing to help those in need!

This is a great experience. The staff had our volunteering efforts very organized and efficient. You are greeted and given a hair net as you enter. FDA requires the hair net. You then enter a staging area where you check in and watch a few short videos about how the food helps impoverished communities, how to pack the food, and how to follow FDA packing guidelines. You then enter to packing area, choose a designated packing space and start to work. At the end of your packing, you clean your space and prepare it for groups coming into that space when you have left. Before leaving you can visit the store they have to either make a donation or purchase one of the handcrafted items in the store. Not a requirement. If you like something you can get it. This is an overall great experience

My daughter had one of her first volunteer experiences today at this organization. She said that the staff was extremely rude and sarcastic to the students and teachers/staff that attended the school trip. I can not believe that the staff is allowed to treat volunteers this way yet alone children. Shame on you!

We had boxes of non-perishable food. They have no problem taking your "nonprofit" money, but do not accept ACTUAL FREE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD.Yet another organization taking advantage of good people wanting to help, unfortunately being naive to think that the organization stives to help people other than personal gain.

Honestly, this should be like a perfect 5/5 since you’re doing something voluntary and it’s for a good cause. It kind of makes you wonder about the people that give it like a 3/5 or 4/5, like they’re rating a fast food joint. When you enter the building, you put on a hairnet and walk through the gift shop. Then, you’re directed to a seating area where you check in for your group, put your belongings in lockers, and wait for the presentation. After the presentation, you can choose to help with the warehouse (you replenish any ingredients that the tables need), label, or pack. There were 8 of us so we did the packing. This lasts for an hour and you can see which countries the food goes to. All of the employees are very nice, no one acts all high and mighty. I think a previous reviewer doesn’t understand sarcasm from one of the employees.

The place is amazing. I helped package 12 boxes of food with my coworkers. This is a humbling experience to know kids are really happy to have a pouch with a scoop of vitamins, veggies, a cup of soy and rice. How blessed are we all to have food like we do in the US. I will volunteer again and you should too.

Great volunteer experience to bring your kids and family, and teach them about hunger around the world, appreciation for food, and learn from the fun of teamwork. It had a small shop that you can buy gifts for your kid while supporting this great cause.

Great place to go! Free to volunteer 1-2 hours of your day. Actually quite simple. Nice to support a cause!

Great place. We as a team go every year to pack some food. The volunteers are nice and a lot of positive energy. Nice merchandise and work for a good cause. Do go, it’s nice for a good deed. Great stress reliever.

Great place to take your students to gain learning service hours and feel a part of this global community. They do a really good job at explaining where the food goes and how many people you helped out while showing visual aids to really appreciate how privileged we are in America and gain a perspective. Could he really eye-opening to a lot of people even outside of school settings. Staff is more than wonderful and well-intended. Everyone is really working together and there is an optional mutual prayer to boost the good vibes for the food to get to where it needs to get safely and full of nourishment. Explain what every person needs to do thoroughly so you don't need to be nervous for double think if you could take anyone here. I've been with multiple school ranging in all sorts of abilities.

It's always a rewarding experience packing food for FMSC. Without exception, staff is friendly, efficient and informative. Our group tried to work faster but minimizing the mess, while enjoying the music, pace and camaraderie. Looking forward to returning again with my family.

It makes you feel good that you are helping feed other children that do not have food. We are so blessed that we have a roof over our heads, a job that pays, and that we are able to cook a good meal. So why not volunteer and help bless others in need.
