The room needs lot of work as it gets old. The service and location were great and easy accessible.

Eh. The manager lady was really polite but one person at the desk was somewhat rude and felt annoyed when asked questions. Don't bother with room service they don't have it. You can order food from bar but not over the phone. You'll need to stand there and wait for it, then take up to room (seriously missing out on making some $$ with no basic room service)The pool was 10/10 amazing. Room was a bit rundown but honestly not that bad. Not all Hiltons are great but this one was okay. Overall I'd weigh your options when booking. The bed wasn't that cozy and TV channels were very fuzzy barely workedFYI: If you want to hook up an Xbox or something, you need to go to TV settings and pick the furthest down option, then you'll see "Source list" or whatnot. Took awhile to figure out

One star for the condition of the room. We walked into a very OUTDATED and DIRTY room. Stayed about 30 minutes and checked out. No way could we stay in such FILTH. The carpet was old and tattered, way beyond its life expectancy. It was unattached in several places causing carpet roll. A stain, looked like poorly cleaned up vomit, in front of the bed. Clearly the room was NOT SANITIZED or even dusted. Bed was poorly made. Cheap lumpy mattress and pillows. Worn out chair from the 80’s. I’ve seen better chairs on the side of the road. The water coming out of the sink faucet was cloudy. Gross. The lobby was dirty and smelled bad. Outside it looks decent. Inside it’s a dirty shack. Shame on Hilton for allowing this place to get like this. What a waste of money!Rooms: Dirty. Outdated. Unclean. Not sanitized.Safety: Some sketchy people in the parking lot

Th whole hotel smelled weird. The hallways and rooms had a musty and moldy smell. We were their for a competition and we there with probably 80 other families and coaches. Over half the people became ill the monday we left. Alot with a cough or sinus issues. I believe this hotel needs to be looked at as im pretty sure their is mold growing some where. Rooms were dark and the lobby sitting area was dark. Our room behind the curtains had so much condensation behind it it had water sitting all over the ledge. Location was about the only good thing about this hotel.

This place is a dump. Rooms are dark, dingy, musty, and severely outdated. Customer service is nonexistent. The large African-American gentleman at the front desk never speaks to anyone whether you are coming or going. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and avoid this rat hole and select nicer hotels across the street which are much friendlier to customers.

I was there for the holidays. I was surprised when my room was cleaned on Christmas Eve. I called the front desk and was informed that the cleaning staff had two days off. I was honored to get fresh linen from the desk. I was happy that the cleaning staff had the day off. One young lady told me that she was the only one there and that a complimentary breakfast would be given on Christmas morning. That breakfast was awesome! I got to mention the warm cookie. It was yummy. Thanks, Doubletree!Nearby activities: It is close to a mall, businesses, and not far from O'Hara Airport.Food & drinks: There are lots of restaurants nearby. Had BBQ from Blackwood, restaurant in the nearby mall. It was really good.

BEWARE - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICEMy normal routine. Call the hotel directly, and I request to speak to someone onsote, since many times call gets forwarded toa booking center. Spoke to a woman. Asked the basic questions, asked about pool being opened, parking, breakfast, room availability for such, and such days.In reference to breakfast, she explains that breakfast is different between weekends and weekdays and the hours. NEVER MENTIONS THAT IT'S NOT FREE. She transfers me to central booking and I book 2 rooms. We checked in, and I don't notice the signs that say breakfast is nearly $15.00. Wife and 5 kids, late check-in was tired. In the morning, I get up, go down, and wallah, notice that $14+ for breakfast sign. I go to the front desk receptionist and I inquire about it. I immediately recognized her voice. Very strong accent. I asked her why she didn't inform me about breakfast, not being included in my stay. She said, "Sir, you never asked." Then she goes on a rant that it's my fault for not asking if breakfast was free and while she checks my account, says that I booked with Hilton discounts and breakfast is not included with my reservation.I was so surprised that she said this. I told her, Miss, I called to inquire about all amenities, including breakfast. And breakfast is almost nearly in most hotels free unless otherwise stated. We spoke on the phone and while you explained to me about the type of breakfast you offer depends on days, you should have stated that it's not free. You know the policy, not me. I don't work here. You do. Had I known it's not free, I would have never booked this hotel. I explained, "I called a hotel in Rosemont. I inquired about the same amenities. When the subject of parking came up, they asked, "Will you have your car parked here overnight?" I said yes. They said, "Sir, it's a $20.00 parking fee per night." I explained. This is what you were supposed to share with me. Instead, you neglected to tell me about breakfast, knowing it's not free, and then you blame me for not asking. Now, I'm hungry, a family's of 7, and I would rather pay at a sit-down restaurant to eat versus paying $14+ a person to eat warmed up food. It's not the point for me. It's the principle. It's the fact that she had the audacity to blame me and argue any fault away from her. In addition to not being able to explain or communicate properly with guests.I just looked at the reviews. It's my fault. I should have read the reviews before booking. Her name is CLAIRE, and as long as she is employed at this location, stay away. Very bad experience due to her unprofessional attitude. She's a cheater, a liar, and an irresponsible human being! I don't believe retraining her would work. She's too stubborn minded. What a way to begin 2024. Hilton is great. This double tree in schaumburg is not. READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING THIS LOCATION. BEWARE, YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!!

This is the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed at in my life. The two girls at the front desk, were extremely rude everytime I had to interact with them. The hallways smell like someone died in them. Our toilet barely flushed and you’re barely able to see the TV because the quality is so bad. Additionally, they have it listed that their bar / restaurant is open from 5-11 and it’s a Saturday and it hasn’t been open at all. Just terrible, would highly recommend a complete revamp of the mess that’s going on here. Do not recommend.

Had a great stay. The service was friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Nice and clean rooms with your basics. Everything you would expect a hotel to be! Right next to a cool mall and plenty of good food. Would stay again!
