I brought my F-150 in to Car-X to have them diagnose a noise coming from underneath the truck. It was a Saturday morning and the shop was busy, but Joey and his team made time to get my truck up on the lift and look at it right away. This place really seems to put the customer first. It's great to find an honest auto mechanic since I believe most places look to run up the bill on you. Car-X's prices are very competitive too. I couldn't have asked for a better experience there. I highly recommended anyone to stop in to see Joey and his team there when they need service on their car or truck.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP WITH THIS TEAM OF WORKERS!!!!. I had gotten a great job with the previous team back in January of 2025. This team being under the manager, Kevin Strauss, is terrible!!!! They gave me my car back with scratches on top of the hood of my car. They also lost the screws on my engine filte and didn't screw in the only screw on there as well. Kevin never returned my calls for an answer. I do appreciate Joseph , he did at least contact his HR department and return my call. Do not go to this location with this team. They are very carless. They claimed that the video footage doesn't show that... of course, they have access to their own footage, and I don't. Save yourself from this experience that I went through.

My AC went out on my car randomly when it was in the 90s outside. I have a very tight/ busy schedule that makes it difficult to schedule maintenance last minute. I brought my car in and they were willing to take a look no problem. They found other major issues that could have caused me an accident that another shop failed to mention to me 2 weeks prior. Everything was fixed and I'm now driving safely. They even helped me with something else on the side as I have a health issue and cannot due certain things myself. I don't post reviews often but will give credit when it's due. I find Kevin and the crew reliable, well communicated and honest. That's something I haven't found in a car place/mechanic in awhile. I'd recommend giving them a shot. Good people/ good service.

I'd been going to another place for my alignments, but they just weren't getting it right. I brought my car into the Car-X in Schaumburg on Golf Rd. They identified the problem with the rear toe and fixed it. Now my car is very nicely aligned.
They also replaced an old, cracked belt I wasn't even aware needed replacing.
All at a reasonable price.

I had some serious issues with the car after hitting an opossum, grinding noises, poor pickup, vibrating steering. Went in for an oil change. They promptly identified the problems with the car and fixed it in a timely manner. Am happy with the fix. Couldn't be more thrilled with their service
