This place is a scam. They advertised a 23 Silverado LTZ for $40K. I called and they told me it was available and at the lot. I went to the dealership and the sales manager told me they had already taken it to the auction and it sold. He told me that if I buy the truck sight unseen he will pull it from the auction. Then he tried to sell it to me for $42K. I left the dealership. They now have it advertised for $44K. Dont waste your time. They are not worth it!!!!!!

Service advisors/managers only want your money and will ignore warranty issues. they will only put emphasis on non/warranty issues. Go to a dealer that really cares and is honest. You’ve been warned.

Disappointing experience as an out of state buyer - This is my third Ford I've bought, and the worst experience of the three by far.
In descending order of annoyance:
(1) Took 4 months to get my license plates because Mike the finance guy neglected to tell me that I needed to return some paperwork after I drove back to TX in order to get my plates. Instead, all he told me was that it would take up to 90 days to get my plates - so for 60 days, the dealership was waiting on me to send them back something while I thought I was just waiting for them - for 2 months, nobody contacted me being like "Hi, just wanted to touch base on that paperwork we're waiting on so that we can get you your plates?".
This was especially annoying because it put a road trip to Canada that I had bought this car specifically for in jeopardy. There was no way I was going to be able to cross the border with expired temporary plates while I was still waiting on my permanent ones. I ended up getting them a week before my trip - but wow, that was stressful.
(2) Nobody in their finance department picks up when you call the main switchboard, and worse - the voicemails you leave go into a black hole. The only way to find someone in finance is to call someone in another department and have them go to the finance office and physically leave a paper note saying a customer wants a callback (what?!). I learned later from another more competent finance guy that nobody knows how to check that finance voicemail and that's why all voicemails left are never answered: unprofessional.
(3) They tried to switch the price on the contract on me last minute when I asked for the contract before boarding my flight, increasing the price by $1500 from the price we agreed on. They wrote it off as a "paperwork mistake", which I believed at the time, but now in context looks like an attempt at hoping I didn't read what I was signing to pad some extra profit.
(4) They tried tied selling on me - offered me 7% interest initially, but said they could drop it to 6.25% if I bought some unrelated extended warranty for glass and tires. This is illegal.
I believe in allowing companies the chance to rectify things, so I sent an email to the GM there, Tiffany, and never received a response at all, so that's why I'm posting this review here so other out of state buyers can know what to expect. Annoying.
In summary, this is basically every bad dealership cliche that you've ever heard - no post sales support, shady tactics during the sales process (tied selling and initial paperwork showing different prices than negotiated).
My other Ford dealership experiences when I bought my ICE mustangs were significantly better than this one. While I like my car, it's hard not to see it and think about this frustrating dealership experience.

They'll tell you anything just to get you in the door. I was looking for a Hybrid Ford Maverick XL as I've never driven a pick up or a hybrid and I like that it gets good gas mileage. I couldn't tell you the number of times I said HYBRID. The person I spoke to on the phone confirmed they had a Ford Maverick Hybrid XL in stock and I went to go test drive it. We saw a Ford Maverick on the lot and I was a little excited to get to test drive it. We found out right away that it wasn't a hybrid, the woman working there had no idea it wasn't a hybrid. The car was also filthy on the inside (It was a pre-owned and hadn't been cleaned yet). I still did the test drive to see the blind spots and how I feel in it. It was okay, and when we returned to the dealership I talked about my budget on buying a car as I still have student loans I'm paying. I asked if they maybe had another Hybrid that I would be interested in purchasing that is at another location. She printed out the information and brought it to me, it was for a Ford Maverick Lariat (the highest trim) with all the bells and whistles and it's quoted at $45,000. Which is about $15k over my budget. I took my business elsewhere. Confirm, confirm, and confirm again that they have the car you're looking for BEFORE going there.

This isn’t going to be your standard review. This is a “real” life review. I found a vehicle online and after negotiating my wife and I flew out to drive it back to Salt Lake. In all fairness, it was a used vehicle and I found a couple of things that needed attention. Here’s the thing I want to emphasize. The dealership had gone through a management change shortly before I came into play. Meaning nearly all higher level staff were new. They had no personal involvement in the inventory on their lot. It was there for them to deal with, like it or not. The issues we had to deal with had definite costs associated with them.
I am greatly appreciative to many of the people who played a part in making what could have been a vastly different experience. The service department was able to immediately pull my vehicle in and complete the necessary service. That was extremely helpful as I was needing to get on the road and head home 24 hours away. My finance manager was great. I will honestly tell you I feel like both he and my service advisor are close friends! It was truly a great experience meeting them and getting to know them! Lastly, if it wasn’t for Kevin the General Manager, I feel the purchase would have fallen through. Kevin was an absolute straight shooter, no BS. We both expressed what we felt/ thought would be fair. In all negotiations, I wanted to pay the least amount possible, and they wanted to sell the vehicle at its posted price. At the end of the day, I have made some GREAT new friends, a truck that should take care of me for many years and memories to last a lifetime. I have no reservations giving them a 5 star review and furthermore I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a new or used vehicle. I would be happy to purchase from them again, it would be a reunion of good friends!
Thank you Schaumburg Ford for a great buying experience.
