Poor service. Lack of empathy and a general attitude. I delt with 2 representing today and the experiences were polar opposites. The first was empathetic to ny problem. The second was clearly inconvenienced to help me. My case was downplayed while being relayed to another department. The details of my case being mishandled were completely left out. When I spoke up to ask why that info was left out the representive offered me the phone then took it back. From that point on they were confrontational and just generally had an attitude and lack of professionalism. They were the one who handled the case initially. They said they had done everything right on their end. So I was confused why they decided to wash their hands of the matter. If that was me and I did everything right on my end I would be more concerned for the issue that happened rather then washing my hands of the problem because my part was handled. Overall this was a really negative experience. I will be banking elsewhere.

If you are a BMO Harris customer this is the best branch!I went to the branch in Villa Park and they wanted to charge me $60 and wait a week for statements on a closed account. Carlos at this branch took care of it with a smile.So refreshing to see a large bank actually care about their customers.The Villa Park branch could learn how to handle customers from this branch!This is proof all branches are not equal! Great Job Carlos and team!

If you are a BMO Harris customer this is the best branch!
I went to the branch in Villa Park and they wanted to charge me $60 and wait a week for statements on a closed account. Carlos at this branch took care of it with a smile.
So refreshing to see a large bank actually care about their customers.
The Villa Park branch could learn how to handle customers from this branch!
This is proof all branches are not equal! Great Job Carlos and team!

Bad service.I have more than a moth going to fix some problem with my zelle. And every time that I go there, they just said. We sent a email to the customer service. You have to wait. Every week that I go there it’s the same thing. Really, bad bad service.

No one answers the phone and they don't follow-up and call like they said they would. They just don't care and it's very disappointing. You would be better off choosing Chase which is right down the block.

Worst bank ever! I wish I could give zero stars! I closed my account years ago because of their unreasonable fees! Today I have 2 payroll checks that my employer gave me for extra work I did. My employer has their account through BMO. Normally my checks are direct deposited into my credit union, but my employer hand wrote these so I could get the money quicker since it’s Christmas. The two checks total around $500. BMO wants to charge me $20 to cash them since I don’t have an account there, despite the fact that BOTH CHECKS ARE FROM ONE OF THEIR OWN ACCOUNTS!!! This is nothing short of corporate greed! I’ll never do business with them again and I’m making sure that NONE of my investments include them!

Been trying to refinance my house with BMO and no one in the mortgage department answers the phone, calls me back, or returns my emails. Went there in person and the employee submitted my request to the mortgage department but still no one has called me. I will be going to a different bank.

NEVER EVER TAKE ANY LOANS FROM THEM. THEY DON’T STOP THEIR AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS EVEN THOUGH YOU PAY OFF YOUR LOANS AND THEN THEY SEND THE CHEQUE AFTER 15 DAYS. WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE.THEY TELL US TO DO ONLINE, WHAT KIND OF BANK IS THIS!!!! DON’T THEY HAVE AUTHORITY TO DO THE THINGS!!!!!!!HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, NEVER TAKING LOANS FROM THEM....WORST THAN 1 STAR

Let’s just say I would not recommend doing any business banking with BMO. They charged my account for having a zero balance while I was in the process of closing it and hit me with overdraft fees. Then I go into the bank to close the account and was told the account was closed and I was charged fees for having a zero balance and for being overdrawn. Then I was told to not worry about those balances. Then I was sent to collections after being told to not worry about the over draft fees. And then I was told to come into the bank to discuss the fees that were sent to collections. Then I came into the bank again and was told well if you came in before the fees were sent to collection they may have been able to do something. Well I was in the bank closer to the time the fees were charged and they told me to not worry about the fees and I did not have to pay them. All this for a $100 in fees that they created.Never heard back from you which makes it even worse. Why ask for me to reach out to you only to ignore me.

Absolutely poor service drive through took me 20 min for a simple withdraw. Lady was rude and disrespectful over the intercom told me to go to another location. Older lady grey hair. On November 16.
