The worst fucking bank in history. From 1am to 4 am there app just does simply not work. Even if you have overdraft protection you will still be over drafted and charged fees. Shady as fuck. If you use your card too frequently or at certain gas stations it will be locked and it takes 1-2 days to get the at resolved. You're savings accounts will be closed if you run too low on money. Overall shitty customer experience in my last 6 years with BMO.

Very rude people working in this Branch. Every time I am going in this Branch, it's destroyed my whole day and I am very upset. Last time I stopped to put Money to my mom bank account , she is 92 year old, but Ronda, clerk who was helping me was extremely Rude with me, she didn't even tell me, if those money I bring was enough to cover negative balance. She raised her voice on me, and repit 10 times, what she can't give me information about account. I didn't ask her information about account, I just asked, if $300 my mom asked me to put on her bank account will cover negative balance. Very nasty people working in this Branch. Except Josefina, she is like a Sunshine in that nasty place....

A woman named Rhonda and another woman, Carolynn, accused me of depositing a fraudulent check today. I walked into the bank after depositing the check 2 days ago. My online app showed me that there was an available balance. I came with my Son as we were on our way to the mall to do some spring break shopping. They couldn't figure out why my balance was showing a negative number, but I had an available balance of more than $500. The only reason I chose this branch to deposit the check instead of my regular home branch in Bloomingdale was due to convenience in location. The teller had no idea what to do and so he asked Carolynn, a banker, for her help. Carolynn called Rhonda from downstairs to "help" me after I told her never mind I will just go to my home branch (I'm thinking because my home branch is friendly and efficient). Carolynn insisted on "settling the matter" at their branch and picked up the phone right away and called Rhonda. At this point I'm annoyed because I wanted to just leave and go talk to my home branch banker. But I waited with my Son. Rhonda came upstairs to "help" me by telling me that my check is fraudulent and there is no available balance. I told her that I didn't understand because I've deposited the same check at my home branch and they never accused me of fraud. She wrote down an 800 number for me to call. Rhonda was so rude to me. I actually cried when I got into my car. Horrible unfriendly Karens working here!!!! do not bank at this branch!!!!!

Thee worst bank ever. I called the bank customer service which is the first joke. You need a password to get thru to online banking customer service. I dont have a password. Then the automated system disconnects you. I had to call the credit card side of BMO for them to transfer me. Then when I got thru I mentioned that I want to cancel the checking account I just opened for personal reasons. The agent told me there is a 50.00 fee to close this. There was nothing that said there is a closing fee that is visible on their website EXCEPT if you go to their PDF which shows a closing fee of 50.00. She said if there are no transactions within the first 45 days then the account will close by itself with no fee. I said well cant you just close it now and she said if she did the 50.00 will pop up for me to pay. I told her to then keep it open and I will let it close by itself. Now I see why every review on BMO is horrible. Stay away!!!

I had some loose change that I wanted to exchange for paper money. I called this branch of BMO before showing up to make certain that they would except the loose change. I know some banks will not except it. I waited on hold for 12 minutes before speaking to a gentleman who assured me that they do indeed except loose change. Great. I arrived about half an hour later with a 5 lb coffee can full of assorted coins. The bank had one other customer in the lobby. I walked up to the counter and the woman told me that they don't except change and that I would have to go to another bank that wasn't even a BMO bank. I told her that I had just called ahead and was told the opposite. A couple of other tellers were looking at us and just shook their heads no. I didn't feel like arguing with her so I left. I ended up going to the Jewel and using their Coinstar machine. I know it's not a big deal, but why tell me the wrong information. I'm just glad it wasn't a larger amount that I needed to exchange. Thans for nothing, BMO.

Boy if ever there' was a place with terrible customer service it's this place. Our Mom passed away and I called ahead wanting to make an appt. ( we adult kids live out of state) The banker I was transferred to assured me we wouldn't need one. The day we went -- the lobby was full and if I hadn't gotten his name - Brandon we'd have been waiting 45-60 min. Though our Mom had my brother as POD this banker said he'd also need to see her Will! What ? Why? Well this turned into more poor quality and service with Brandon's boss forcing us to come back the next day so their "legal dept" could review the will. We can back next day -- and the teller was another bafoon. She called me by my deceased mother's name ! Worst experience ever during a difficult time

Worst bank to work with. Customer service is horrible. Do not get a home or auto loan from them!! They have hidden fees and zero customer service. 800 number has very long hold times and there is no issue resolution. Stay far away from this bank

Worst bank ever! I wish I could give zero stars! I closed my account years ago because of their unreasonable fees! Today I have 2 payroll checks that my employer gave me for extra work I did. My employer has their account through BMO. Normally my checks are direct deposited into my credit union, but my employer hand wrote these so I could get the money quicker since it's Christmas. The two checks total around $500. BMO wants to charge me $20 to cash them since I don't have an account there, despite the fact that BOTH CHECKS ARE FROM ONE OF THEIR OWN ACCOUNTS!!! This is nothing short of corporate greed! I'll never do business with them again and I'm making sure that NONE of my investments include them!

The lion is lying. Why do people bank here when clearly so many are having issues with their customer service? It is not just one branch it is the whole operation which makes doing business difficult. For example, they hold funds deposited longer than 5 business days. A deposit was made on September 15th and as of September 23 the funds were still 'on hold'. The VP in Hoffmann Estates refused to remove children's names off the owners checking account without them present claiming, "I have to pay my mortgage". This is despite corporate informing us that a branch manager can remove names under the owner of the account. The interest rate offered on accounts that bear interest is so low as to be non consequential. Every time we go in and are told no about something we want to accomplish the bankers give a sneer and are almost happy to turn you away. They believe they wield power and become self-satisfied to lord it over customers. BMO here is a clue, It is our money, not yours. BMO Harris deserves to go under and have depositers leave in droves.

Worst bank branch location ever!! Trying to close my accounts for the past month still can't resolve/close accounts as BMO is still charging for overdrafts on a closed account! Is this how they take care of their customers?? What a joke!!! Can't get mgmt to call you back!! My highest recommendation- DONT BANK WITH BMO HARRIS!!! Update-no return call from mgr account getting OD fees every day!!!

Do not go to this branch if you have a drive thru transaction. No matter what day or time they keep you waiting with only one non-business account line open. When they actually open two lanes don't get too excited...there's still only one person back there alternating between the two lanes. The people working there seem nice enough, but they are understaffed.

Horrible young blond teller at drive through. Don't know her name because she refused to tell me! Rude and nasty to customers. Closed my account because after complaining to branch manager, the rude blond was still as nasty as ever!
