“Great service, helpful and knowledgeable people, competitive prices. A great “go to” when you need to get projects done. What you need is in stock and immediately available. The staff knows the projects in their department and will help when a project crosses over multiple departments. They also know the latest products available and can inform and demonstrate them. Way better than your father’s hardware store. The team at the Palatine store is outstanding.”

“I’ve been a life-long Home Depot customer and they’ve earned my trust and loyalty. Nothing but amazing things happening at this local Palatine Home Depot! They really embody “How Doers Get More Done. You can do it. We can help” mindset. I don’t believe there was ever a time I came in and they didn’t have what I was looking for or HELPED ME by any means get what I needed.
Note to MANAGEMENT: Sadly though, I had to report a concerning experience I had with COREY in the Plumbing department. I came into the store looking for an adapter for a new shower head I was installing. Corey approached me and offered his help, which I accepted. Without checking inventory or offering to look further, he immediately stated, “We don’t have it here. Try buying from the manufacturer.” This response was both dismissive, super unhelpful, and highly inconvenient. Based on prior positive visits at this store, I found it surprising that no effort was made on Corey’s part to verify availability, other than “try somewhere else.” After Corey walked away, I continued exploring on my own. It took me 20 minutes, but eventually I located the exact adapter I needed that was in-stock!! It was a perfect fit! What was Corey talking about? Did he not want to truly help? Or was he inexperienced and should not be working in plumbing?
Also, while I was testing fittings, I observed and overheard multiple other customers approach Corey for assistance. On every single occasion, I heard him respond with the same statement he gave me moments ago: “We don’t have it here, try elsewhere.” This pattern suggests a lack of effort to assist customers and raises serious concerns about potential lost sales and diminished customer experience. I’m a business owner and thats bad for any business. I truly value Home Depot’s expertise and typically receive excellent service from other employees. However, this first-time interaction with Corey demonstrated poor customer service, unhelpfulness, and blatant misrepresentation of product availability. You would think they want to do everything possible to keep my business, not the exact opposite and send me and many others away. I’m glad I ultimately found what I needed, but the store nearly lost my business due to this experience. Can you image how many hundreds or thousands of dollars this business lost?

“Reserved and rented a tiller to make a new garden plot. We always rent from here and haven't run into any issues. Employees are super friendly and helpful! I was talking with one guy about making a new garden bed and he suggested I use mushroom compost. We did and had a great harvest!
Only suggestion is that the website tells customers when equipment reservations begin during peak seasons and when walk in rental end so that people can plan ahead.”
“The Manager rectified the situation, and advised that no money is ever needed up front. She was able to refund the money when the floor services were not utilized. My floor needed prep work, that they did not offer. I would use them for another project in the future.”
“I spoke to Laura today and although they do not service singer machines, she was EXTREMELY helpful in directing me to a couple alternate locations that can assist me with having my machines serviced. Didn’t have to do it but went above and beyond/out of her way to help me! Very helpful, pleasant, GREAT customer service !!! Thank you SO much Laura !!!”

I needed a total of 34 bags of river rock loaded into my car, which I could never have done on my own. Very grateful they were there and so willing to help. Please add Luke to the list of good guys who know what they’re doing and provide great help when you need it.”

“James Billeter is the man!!! Custom Appliance Wholesalers out of Lombard IL is the ONLY way to purchase appliances in Chicagoland and Surrounding Suburbs. My construction project was dirty and I had a few delays but Jim had my back and kept my appliances on standby the entire time. Once I was ready my appliances arrived the next business day. I asked them to install the appliances and that’s exactly what they did! Actually installed the appliances. They actually drilled a nice hole for the drain tube for the dishwasher and attached it to the disposal under the sink. They also cut out the vent hole for the microwave. Now the microwave actually vents out of the house!! They worked with my contractor to make sure the gas line was at the correct height for the stove as well. My hats off to the Custom Appliance installers!!! They took their time so everything fit perfectly. My last experience from a big box store installer was nothing like this. Big box stores only plug in. Take it from a real estate broker and real estate investor. I know the difference. Truth is a worked for a developer who builds custom homes a couple years ago and this is where he buys his appliances. Now I know why he buys from them. I won’t go anywhere else moving forward for appliances.”
“They got here on time. They're very home. Depot was very, very, very understanding. I was going through some surgeries and had to cancel the installment 3 times but they were very understanding or at least the people that installed for them were very, very understanding and home depot gave me a really good price on the carpet, like I said everything went great. I'd recommend home depot to anybody that wants to take care of their house.”
“The Home Depot in Bloomingdale is far better than the Home Depot in Carol Stream.
Staff is friendly and helpful. The management appears to truly care about their team. I've personally witnessed two moral building activities by management at this location. Happy employees leads to positive customer experience.
The store is always clean and I can find people to help me when I have a question.
When I use the curbside pick up the employees always great me warmly, some even engage in friendly conversation. I have called management on two occasions to express how positive my experience their store has been. Once the manager said he was going to buy lunch for the employee I spoke of.
Other Home Depot locations are closer to me, but I go to Bloomingdale Home Depot for the customer service.”
