I gave Serra 3 out of 5 stars due to my car buying experience, yesterday. The staff was mostly professional yet personable, very accommodating, and I am very happy with the vehicle that I purchased. However, the experience was tarnished by what felt like were high-pressure sales tactics used during the trade-in value negotiation and the finalizing of the paperwork process.Firstly, during the purchase & trade-in negotiation, I suggested that I'd like to take the trade-in offer home with me to review. However, I was told by the sales person that someone was trying to do an online purchase of the vehicle I was looking at. I did not ask for any evidence of that assertion, as I was concerned about the 'online buyer's' privacy, but it felt like, in the moment, a disingenuous statement from the salesman.Secondly, I was told that my trade-in had some hail damage that Serra would need to 'fix or apologize for.' I did say at the time that I was uncertain about hail damage, and in hindsight, I should have asked to be shown instances of hail damage. When reviewing a picture of my trade-in after the purchase, I did not notice any hail damage in the picture. Again, the assertion felt disingenuous.Lastly, during the closing, there was misalignment between the salesperson and the person doing the paperwork for the closing, as the out-of-door cost that I was given by the salesperson did not include any sort of additional coverage for my purchase. However, the person doing the closing paperwork included the cost for coverage that I did not ask for in the purchase/trade-in negotiation, and it was ~20% higher than the out-of-door cost given to me by the salesperson. If this wasn't a miscommunication, but rather a deliberate sales tactic by Serra to upsell/cross-sell, then it warrants review.I will likely be looking to purchase another vehicle next fall, 2024, or spring of 2025, and its unlikely that I will first consider Serra for that vehicle purchase. Trust is at the center of every positive business transaction of that dollar value for the average consumer, and I do not feel as though I can trust Serra enough to do business with them, again. I am absolutely willing to reconsider my position and amend my review if Serra's staff can reach out to me via email and provide evidence (with any sort of personal information redacted) that someone was indeed trying to purchase the vehicle online during my negotiation, as well as there being hail damage that would need to be 'fixed or apologized for' on my trade in. I would also strongly suggest to Serra that they reconsider the tactic of adding in any additional warranty coverage to the final dollar amount before asking the buyer.

Well I had different tires put on my then new truck and this shop did the alignment supposedly. I spent $1220 on tires install and 4 wheel alignment. But 9000 miles later(80,000) miles tires all my tires are wore wrong, from a bad alignment or no alignment. I talked to many places today and all inform it goes back to the alignment that most likely was done wrong here or not at all. When I talked to the service mgr today he did not seem to care much and was not offering any help. I'm sure if I went to Sullivan Parkhill in the first place I would not have these issues. Even Truck Trends says the alignment was the issue. Horrible costly experience. Maybe a BBB issue, not sure yet.

I lost my only key to my cts coupe, Serra GMC instructed me to buy another key to program. I did so, once I actually bring my car there they tell me I need my original key! Wow. So they say they can still do the work but it will be more expensive and harder of a task! The guy sam needs my car opened tho, so I pay out of my own money to have a tow truck unlock the car. Once unlocked Job could not be done because the couldn't access my trunk, ok! All the while a week passes and when I decide enough is enough my car is locked again but I was told it was still open and I'm charged $500 for them apparently trying to do something Sullivan park hill of Champaign has done before but could not. But Sam seemed like a nice guy, I guess. Never again!
