Small town saint Elmo IL..we here should and do appreciate Dollar General,,the theft in our store could/should stop but me and my family appreciate you and besides the pandemic and not always feeling well goin to our Dollar General at times to buy items for ailments,,,I LOVE OUR Dollar General and think it's an essential part of life for St Elmo IL..

The store was briefly shut down until further notice due to all the employees walking out. When I visited today the store was messy and the whole seasonal aisle was disorganized. All new staff.

I can't seem to find The Works tub and shower cleaner in your St. Elmo or Patoka stores. This product works better than Lime Away or the CLR cleaner. Vandalia carried it but I refuse to shop their store any more. My last trip in there they went to screaming "masks are required"! A cashier and then the manager screamed at me. Very rude! They embarrassed me so bad that I didn't even try to tell them that I have medical issues. They were busy and everyone was looking at me. Never again! But I have since then been to the other stores and they haven't given me any issues. Very nice employees at Patoka and St. Elmo! Very friendly and very helpful too!!!!
