Jerry recently completed our fireplace surround, installation of a new mantle, closing off an old TV cabinet and installation of TV mount and soundbar, and some other touchups around the fireplace (flooring). This may not seem like a lot, but he is very meticulous so that every edge is perfectly aligned without odd cuts in the stone veneer. He completed the project in 5 days as originally estimated.We have used Jerry for 3 projects in the past 3 years and he will continue to be our go-to handy man for big and small renovations in our house. We love his work, work ethic, and fact that he sees the project through from start to finish.

Jerry continues to provide great service and value to al of our remodeling and home improvement projects. His crew always does high quality work, keeps clean workspaces and is a team you can trust. Most recently replaced patio door with a set of windows to math the rest of the windows perfectly. Jerry comes highly recommended by us who have worked with him for almost 10 years now.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I would be calling him again when I had another home project, this time an entire kitchen remodel. That's got to be the best compliment YELP readers are looking for... someone you can trust enough you will use them over and over. Jerry met with us to discuss our remodel early in 2021 so we could plan ahead, order cabinets etc, and begin June 1st. Overall, he and his team gutted the entire kitchen including removing wall tile that went to our 9ft ceiling, and took out all our main level flooring, carpet, and tile. They installed our new engineered hardwood in just a few days and then kept them covered for the duration of our remodel so they didn't get damaged. Our kitchen was a major renovation simply because we have some odd angles in our kitchen and purchased cabinets from Lakeland Building Supply that were ceiling height with crown molding. The end product looks amazing and we are so pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail of Jerry. Jerry is a delight to work with, a great communicator, pays attention, onsite everyday, and made sure we were happy with everything. We had some permit inspector difficulties due to updated Gurnee city codes, but Jerry addressed everyone of them so that we could pass inspection. Everyone who goes through a major remodel is always worried about their budget and unanticipated costs; Jerry was reasonable with all the adjustments needed and at times went out of his way to make sure the job was done right. Just one example is that during demolition, our ejector pump in the basement became unplugged because of all the banging. This resulted in a minor water seepage that he cleaned up excellently. He also installed a battery backup to that ejector pump so that if anything ever happened in the future, we wouldn't have similar issues. This is the attention to detail everyone needs.

Jerry just finished a small project for my parents house and they found the workman ship of he and his sons to be timely, craftsman-like, clean, and very accommodating. The finished product looks great and we would highly recommend them to others. We look forward to working with them again on our next project!

Jerry has done some contract work for us a few times now. The most recent was coordinating window install and new gutters. Installers were professional, clean and work was great. Jerry was on site to help facilitate and attentive to all the work and details. Highly recommend him!

We have used Jerry in the past to help restore several floors damaged by weather events. He has always been on budget/estimate and the quality of his work is fantastic. He is genuinely "pickier" than we are in details and has raised our expectations of home improvement. This year we really needed to redo a bathroom/shower. Tear ours completely down and redo it all. We got an estimate with clear instructions of what we needed to shop for (so we would get proper colors and styles to our taste). He is busy, so he gave us a start date that was 60 days out and on that morning he showed up early with his team (family too). He also contacted prior to start to make sure we had properly got the items he instructed (tile and colors) and he also verified choices so he could purchase items like shower hardware etc. He did a FANTASTIC job, on budget and finishing on schedule. The quality and attention to detail (replaced the door hinges because they looked too worn for our new bathroom, no charge - just ONE example). Every time we use that room, it feels wonderfully new, and not just remodeled, it feels like we upgraded our home. Jerry thank you for an 11 out of 10. Will chat soon for our next project. He's the only person we consider for any work. The attached photos don't do this justice.

Jerry and his team worked diligently to make sure our basement project was finished with all the details we wanted. He does beautiful work, makes excellent suggestions along the way, let's the homeowner know what he would recommend and explains every step of the project. We could not be happier with our beautiful basement - from start to finish Jerry was so easy to work with and communication was amazing. He was always available by cell and texted updates frequently. We already have future plans for another project to replace our deck. You will not be disappointed in his craftsmanship and attention to every detail.

I called and left a message for Jerry to discuss my flooring needs. He returned my call and informed me that he was quite busy with current projects but that he would provide me some dates and times of his availability to come out and provide me an estimate. He never provided me the information nor did he follow-up with me to simply state that he could not take on the job due to availability. I would not recommend him simply because it takes two seconds to let customers know that you cannot meet their needs.

I can't say enough good things about Jerry. He took our old lousy bathroom with our busted shower and turned that room into a beautiful, relaxing oasis of peace and tranquility that I, frankly, never want to leave. Throughout the construction, Jerry was extremely professional and communicative and also provided lots of helpful suggestions in terms of bathroom layout and selection of fixtures and tiles. On top of all that, he and his talented team busted their butts to get the job done right before I was about to have a house full of people -- I really appreciated that. I would hire Jerry again in a HEARTBEAT and have already started recommending him to our family and friends.

I used Jerry Zygmunt to remodel my basement and would highly recommend him to others. I ended up going with Jerry because he is very detail oriented, his guys are professional and they deliver in an accurate fashion, quality craftsmanship and professional delivery! Jerry is also a man of his word he will complete the project in the allotted time while also treating the project with the proper respect in detail! There's always concern when dealing with a contractor but with Jerry there should be none! We would give Jerry 10 Stars if possible!

We found Jerry through a neighborhood Facebook page. We were looking for someone to replace a bathroom vanity and some floor tiles. He was very quick to respond, provide an estimate and complete the job. I would highly recommend Jerry. His work is excellent. Look forward to using his services again in the future.

We had a bathroom and bedroom added to our basement. Jerry was wonderful to work with. He was excellent to communicate with and explained everything in a way we could understand. He had great suggestions and ideas. His price was fair and the work turned out exactly as we wanted. We will absolutely use Jerry again for future projects.
