I was a little leary at first because I was parked so far in the back in the dark. Came back 5 days later, the car was in perfect shape.

Good service checking in!
Room had AC unit off when we got in so the room was like 80 degrees. It took quite a bit of time to cool down. Bathroom had a couple of not-great cleanliness issues I won't mention. Bed was comfortable and well made. TV wouldn't turn on at first had to troubleshoot to get it to work.
Fantastic location for anyone going to AllState arena for events.

Don't offer a shuttle service if you can't operate it competently. I called for a pickup, and was told 15 minutes. After 25 minutes I called again and was told 5 minutes. 35 minutes later it finally showed up but stopped before the pickup zone. Multiple people ran over to it and by the time we got there it was full and we were told we'd have to wait again. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel and I will not stay at a Hyatt again.

Slow check in Inn, little variety and bad breakfast. Long wait for the shuttle at the airport. The rest is fine.
Rooms: Spacious, clean, comfortable bed. It should have body cream.
Walkability: You can walk to Target, Ross, etc.
Food and drinks: Very poor breakfast.

Terrible customer service. I was on hold for over an hour before anyone picked up. Also, the upper level rooms are extremely loud. It sounds like a train overhead all night. It isn’t airport noise, I think it is their hvac? I reserved a two-bed room but was checked into a single bed.

The hotel is very nice, modern and cozy, easy for travelling people, the staff is friendly and the beds are awesome!

My husband and I usually love Hyatt. For the first time we had a bad experience at Hyatt near O’Hare international airport in Chicago, IL. We turned up at the hotel on the day of reservation and the person at the front desk told me that we didn’t show up the previous day as the booking shows for the previous day. I showed the reservation email and clarified that we are right, we came on the correct day and despite that he said okay we have a different room available, not the room type we booked and I said it’s okay, we will adjust.
The next day after checkout we saw the bill and we got shocked, we were billed for 2 days. The day we checked in and the previous day. They had marked the previous day as no show. When I called the customer service, the person took all the details and put me on hold, transferred to another person who said that I was wrong and the reservation is for the previous day. At this point I was really angry because I had the same issue with the person who checked us in. Finally after calling in again after the call got disconnected accidentally, that person said “fine I’ll refund you the money”. The point of the call is not just for a refund for something the hotel wrongly charged us for, it was for them to acknowledge it was an error in the software system and that they will look into it and fix the error, instead that person who spoke to us made it sound like it’s a huge sacrifice the hotel is doing from their end by refunding the money to us. ?
Breakfast was sub standard compared to other Hyatt Hotels we stayed at. No Complementary water bottle given at this place, Hyatt always gives water. The pillows and duvet were substandard compared to other places. The corridors had a bad odor.
I recently stayed at Hyat in Houston, it was extremely clean and the quality of sheets and towels was very good, the staff was friendly, good breakfast. This place has much to learn from the other branches of Hyatt.

The night before I left, I had the mistake of booking Hyatt PlaceChicago I’Hare never ever again!
A room with parking on September 9, 2024, the price was $360 and plus $75 deposit, which at check out I was told would be refunded within 5-7 business days.It has been three weeks since my deposit was not returned to me, I called the hotel and was told that I would not receive my deposit because I parked the car and it is included in the price, some nonsense.I have a receipt that I paid for parking for 6 nights and one night at the hotel.I highly recommend everyone to take the names of those who did check in and cheack out to you so that there would be proof of the lies of the hotel

Had trouble with the room temperature controls. Always too hot or too cold. Bed was stiffer than I like. Great room otherwise!!! Lots of space, plenty of outlets, nice couch, nice shower, and easy access to Allstate Arena!

We stored our car in their lot for a Thur to Sun vacation (10 days). Upon return, since we were in Terminal 5, we called the hotel as instructed, but no one answered. After trying for 20 minutes we finally called the national Hyatt number to complain - they tried also and after 10 minutes got back to us telling us they had not been successful and had no advice except to "keep trying" and also to file a complaint. Trying again, we finally reached a person at the desk who said she had been "very busy". The first van promised never showed up and only after inquiry did they tell us it had been full of Terminal 2 customers and we had to wait another 30 minutes. FINALLY the van came for us over an hour after we expected it. During that time we counted 3 other services had sent 3 vans each in the time Hyatt Place could barely send one. Strike Hyatt Place off my list!
Addendum - now a week since I filed a complaint on the national Hyatt Hotel customer complaint website asking for a callback regarding my complaint - so far, 5 days later, no calls or emails from them.
