This experience was so bad that I have to warn people. Goosehead was attentive to get me signed on, but multiple assigned representatives left the company, leaving me emailing and calling with no response for weeks at a time. Their reps leave the company and you'll get no auto-reply from their email address, so you have no way of knowing. I'm still getting automated advertisements from one rep who hasn't been with the company for months. The general inboxes give no response. They'll tell you the wait times for a call back are high because of recent storms, no matter when you're calling. I had to scramble to get my homeowners insurance paid two years in a row because of their incompetency. My mortgage servicer changed last year, but I couldn't get ahold of my rep, so the correction and payment was delayed. This year, I find out that they never actually edited my policy to the new correct servicer and loan number so I went through the same thing all over again. I switched agencies.

Happy to move into my newly purchased home and Goosehead insurance was recommended by my realtor. What a mistake trusting my new investment with these guys, yeah my rates were cheaper but when a wind storm ripped shingles off my roof they covered it alright, about 10-15% of my damages leaving me a huge bill to cover and When I contacted Goosehead it was nice of them to tell me how good my insurance was and then left me hanging with a big hole in my roof and now water damage to boot. What exactly is my 1000 deductable for ? Now I need to file complaints and shop for reputable insurance so this never happens again. If you were talked into saving some cash using some insurance carrier you never heard of you better think twice, don't take somebody's word, you'll be left paying the bill.

This company is awesome! They really do have the best rates and they can shop the market which is so cool. I was so stressed shopping around for my insurance but Goosehead works with over 50 different insurance carriers so they can do all the shopping for you. The agents are so friendly and their service team is exceptional. I would recommend Goosehead to all my friends and family!

I was recommended for insurance here by a friend. Goosehead is an insurance broker that supposedly is really good at finding the best deals. I got connected with a broker and she put together quotes for me for both home and auto. The quotes were lower than I got gotten quoted elsewhere. I asked for some changes and to have the final quotes sent over. She said she sent me the final documents and I said ok sounds good. She said I needed to provide bank information to lock in my auto policy. Which I did.. big mistake. Later the next day I got an email from Goosehead asking for me to sign my policy documents. Not only were the amounts different than what was quoted, but there was also a large commission expense added to the policy that I was never made aware about. On top of that my address was wrong on my policies... the home policy I'm trying to get insurance on doesn't even have the address right.. not what you want. I called up my broker and she said that the address being wrong is not a big deal (how does that make sense) and she said she said there would be a broker expense on our first call (which she never did). I asked her why she didn't tell me of this commission expense when I asked for the final policy costs before I gave my bank account information. She said they never show the broker expense in that. Overall with the broker expense, the policies then became more expensive than I was quoted elsewhere. I told the broker I was not interested in proceeding and to cancel and delete out any bank account information out of Goosehead. She got mad, said ok and hung up. I also emailed her to be sure I had in writing that I was not going to sign the policy documents and I was not proceeding further. Two days later I looked at my bank account online. I was charged for the auto policy a month before it would have even started. The policy I never signed a document for and asked my broker to remove my bank account information from. I emailed my broker informing her I was still charged and asked for her to refund me. She never responded. I then called up Goosehead and spoke to a different person. They said I have to sign cancelation documents so they can show the insurance company I do not have a policy with them. I signed the cancelation documents and waited 2 weeks I was never refunded. I then called up the insurance company that Goosehead set me up for insurance with and they said the auto policy wasn't canceled. I asked to cancel it and they said I can't cancel it with them directly I have to go through a broker at Goosehead. I called Goosehead today and I spoke to this nice woman she understood my frustration and called the insurance agency to cancel it. After an hour on the phone she insured me I was all canceled. I called the insurance company to confirm this time and they said as of today now I was all canceled. As you can see this company has caused me a great deal of frustration. I'm not sure if every broker is like the one I worked with, but quite honestly I wouldn't risk it!
