I thought I was the only one! I submitted my ce credits purchased through the AMT website and they were not excepted! granted it was the final day, but i got it done. when I called customer service, I was told I would be okay and to pay my renewal. It was not okay! not only were they rude and not helpful they caused me to lose my certification as an MT, after 28 years, with a certification that was never to expire. I have been demoted to MLT instead of MT! Do not waste your time and money with this organization not sure what their motivation is, it is a poorly manage , recommend ASCP.

I did not read any reviews bc I had to have this test and this was one of the companies my job had listed. The only down fall for me was I purchased the 2 practice test prior to taking my exam due to me being out of the "direct patient care" portion of being a MA. I purchased the 2 test and study for 2 weeks to brush up ?on my skills. Finally EXAM day has come and the DOGON test was NOTHING ??I studied on the practice test. I will honestly say I had 10-15 questions that were on the practice test the rest of the test was FOREIGN. I PASSED but it was a tough one. ?

I see some others have had my issue too. I submitted my continuing education credits and magically they have disappeared and now I am short on credits, so I have to recertify and pay $205. I know I had all of my credits. I submitted almost all of them together. I reached out and customer service was just rude and unhelpful. Now I can't work until I can come up with the money to recertify because of an error on their part. Seems to me credit disappear so they can rip you off with huge fees. It's a shame this company would do this to those who work hard taking care of people every day and now they are taken advantage of because we unfortunately have no choice but to pay the huge fees.

American Medical Technologist MUST QUICKLY DEFEND the profession of Medical Technologists, yesterday August 10, 2022 the order was given by HCA Healthcare in Florida. specifically, in their emergency clinical laboratories who have been managed 24 hours a day by a Medical Technologist with their respective valid licenses, that the LABORATORY BE MANAGED BY NURSES, and all Medical Technologists must go to other hospitals and/or must apply in other available positions in the HCA Healthcare Hospital network. The tests that have been introduced are all Waived using Abbott's I Stat (Troponin I), Sofia (FLU, RSV, STREPT), Triage (D Dimer, Troponin I,) Hemochron (PT, PTT), the CBS will be processed in the XN-300 BY NURSES, but if the results are abnormal, they will send the sample to the nearest Hospital in the network and it will be read by the Hematology Medical Technologist (THERE IF WE ARE IRREPLACEABLE, because the nurses have not studied to read the abnormal differentials or the sediments urinals), and they have not yet validated all the Waived machines and they intend to start in a month. They also have validated the EPOC to make the BMP but the Calcium of the EPOC is not validated as the real Calcium in the blood!!, they would be sending that sample with a Courier to the JFK Hospital now called HCA Healthcare, delaying the result two to three hours because it is bleeding the patient and the courier contract accept that they arrive within 2 hours of taking the sample, and the result is faxed, the times would be affecting the results of the patients and they would be oblivious to everything that is happening around their sample , we would be violating their rights by giving results without quality without any surveillance and/or control of those times by CLIA and COLA. They also have no validated waived chemistry machine, if they plan to send a Lipase or a CMP with that 3-hour time, we would be delivering incorrect results. We also wonder if the nurses would do the CAP Surveys? they did not study that, our profession is being violated and relegated to the background, they have invaded us and nobody defends us!! All this reality is being directed by the Director of Clinical Laboratories Alfonso Ribero of HCA Healthcare, and they are taking the laboratories of the Emergency of Boynton Beach, FL, Emergency of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, the emergency of Plantation, FL, with the support of the Director of the main hospital JFK Atlantis, Providencia Millet, the Supervisors Jeanette Ramos, all at the headquarters of the Main JFK Atlantis. We need to defend our profession!!
