I am SO happy and relieved to find this salon after the hairstylist I had been seeing for years moved out of country. Ally was beyond wonderful, knew how to ask questions to understand exactly what I was going for and proceeded to follow through with a great haircut and mini partial color, it was perfect. She also gave me the best hair washing ever! Great products are used and the recommendations were appreciated. It's the little things and they seem to have it down pat here. There is water, tea, and I even saw cookies availabIe for the guests as well. I will be coming back for more, thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of getting a pedicure at this salon, and it was truly the best pedicure experience I’ve had since moving to the suburbs from the city. Soku, my nail technician, was incredibly detailed and skilled in her work. The entire staff at the salon was warm, friendly, and made me feel incredibly welcome.One aspect that really stood out to me was the salon’s commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. I witnessed them diligently disinfecting the pedicure bowl and ensuring everything was impeccably clean, which was reassuring, especially in these times.Soku’s attention to detail extended to the nail polish application as well. She took her time and ensured that my nails looked flawless, which made me feel pampered and satisfied with the end result.Overall, I had an outstanding experience at this salon, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch pedicure in the suburbs. Soku and the entire team have truly set the bar high in terms of quality and service.

I have been going to this salon for 5 years. I absolutely love the service, friendliness, professionalism and my hair is always colored and cut the way I wanted it when I leave. I would recommend this salon for all of your needs from hair, to nails, to skincare to makeup.

Had an appointment for 2:30pm, I had to wait until 2:45 to sit down in the chair and tell the stylists what I needed done. After sitting down, felt like she was rushing to finish cutting my hair asap.She also did not rinse my hair after the cut, even though she did before.This stylist has done good work in the past, but all of sudden it’s not up to par with service I received in the past.I would recommend Tahs services for women, but not for men.Service: Haircut

I can't say enough positive things about my experience at Velarde salon & spa. This salon & spa isn't just any other ordinary place. The atmosphere is relaxing. My hair was a mess after being away for several months. It's a complete cut above the rest. All the staffs are so amazing, accommodating and the service was exceptional. I was so pleased and satisfied with the outcome. My hair now looks brilliant and shiny after the treatment. They really exceeded my expectations. I would come back here to pamper my hair. Thanks for the fantastic job done on my hair. I would highly recommend Velarde salon & spa to my friends.

I've been a regular at Velarde since the day I discovered this salon several years ago. Every aspect of their service, including the interior decor and professionalism, has me completely enthralled. My first service here was for nails, and I can honestly say that they have one of the best nail designs I've ever seen. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to try almost all of their services, including facials, waxing, hair coloring, and massages! Furthermore, as previously stated, the atmosphere is calming and serene. Every member of the team is courteous, professional, and productive. Yesterday, I had my hair done here in Velarde, and the result was, as is always the case, very unique and beautiful. I am very pleased with my new look. I don't mind paying the price because it is completely reasonable and well worth the money. I always recommend this salon to my friends and family because I believe they are deserving of such a wonderful experience

Well I didn't think I would be spending my time at a spa while on my business trip out in Chicago.! But these ladies were so lovely and kind to me. I haven't been treated this way in all of town. The place itself was clean and so elegant. She gave me exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it in a timely matter. Fastest appointment and replies via yelp. I totally recommend this place for visitors traveling by or any locals in the area.

This is my happy place!! I have been a loyal customer at this salon for 20 years and can't say enough wonderful things about them! Nail services, pedicures, hair and facials oh my!! It is a beautiful modern salon that always stays ahead of the trends. I always leave there feeling beautiful and relaxed.

Aly is the one who did my hair and she did EXACTLY what I asked for. She was so awesome, professional and made good conversation. She knew what she was talking about and asked the right questions to figure out the best look for me. I will absolutely be back! Also the owner Melissa was SUPER nice. So happy I found this salon!

I've been a client at Velarde for over 10 years. Nails were my first service with Melissa, the owner. Needless to say throughout the years, I've experienced most all of the services; facials, waxing, hair coloring and massages! The atmosphere is calming and serene. All of the staff are professional, welcoming and efficient. Do not hesitate to make an appointment for your services whatever you might need.
