Great shop to bring any vehicle in for any kind of work. They’ve now taken care of 2 of my vehicles and they always do an excellent job. Also very fair on pricing. Very highly recommended!!!

I called gradys for the first time ever about week ago bc that was the nearest mechanic from my driveway. Exactly .2 miles to be more precise. I give Grady's 5 stars not only because he saved the freaking day for me and my broken down car, but going to a mechanic for the first time ever is a bit nerving to some and I'm a part of that some;so, I will say that I felt comfortable from the beginning. He was honest, diligent, and fast! Pricing seemed to be fair and the same across the board as local competitors so if you need a local mechanic in the Roselle area, seriously drop the franchised competition bc I've serviced my cars there too and this man doesn't compare!

Brought my van in to have it serviced by Grady. Not only did he identify the problem and make the appropriate repairs in a timely manner, he did so for half the cost to have it looked at by another repair shop. I will be giving this repair shop all of my business moving forward.

First of all, let me say I never post negative reviews on anyone or any business... this is my first negative review of anyone/company. I gladly write positive reviews when I have a good experience but when I get terrible service someone.... I just simply don't go back there. With that said this mechanic is so bad I felt compelled to share my experience. I initially was recommended to Grady from someone I had just met (that guy turned out to be a complete idiot so now seems obvious why he would recommend Grady) I have an old work van that needed front end work. Grady did a complete front end job (ball bearings, wheel spindle, etc) He even said my tie rod was rusty so I should replace that too.... so I had him do that as well. All and all around $2500 and now everything underneath in the front end was brand new. So after this was done.... 1 day later.... my van mysteriously started chugging and my service vehicle light was flashing on and off which required immediate assistance. So I took the van back to Grady and he informed me it needed a complete tune up for around $500. Hmmmm..... now I don't believe in coincidences and found that very, very strange. So obviously I was very, very suspicious but..... at the time thought to give him the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to just very, very bad luck. So.... moving forward around 6 months later.... the vehicle starting chugging again and the service engine light was flashing again. I took it to another mechanic who brought me into the service area to show me the problem..... the wiring had burnt up because it was done wrong by Grady....... so 6 months later..... another tune up and since then..... no problem as far as that goes. At the time... I was very frustrated as I had just done a complete tune up with Grady and now had to do it again because of his poor work. I called Grady and he had such a bad attitude making it known I was more less bothering him. He sure was not as friendly as before getting the job and getting my money..... he was as nice as could be before I did the work. Now.... needing to stand up and back his work..... not so friendly. Again.... as I don't write bad reviews and am very busy running my own company..... my attitude was just move on and let it go.... which I did. Now very recently while driving.... my tie rod broke off. Very, very luckily I was not on the highway or the vehicle would have went out of control...... it is scary to think what could have happened. So.... I took it to my new mechanic who has serviced my vehicle to perfection with anything that has broken since and for regular maintenance.... He very quickly informed me and showed my how the original job done by Grady was not done correctly...... I am not a mechanic but he informed me the "sleeve" and tie rod were not threaded correctly and even still..... should NEVER have just came off like that...... stating it was never tightened properly. Now I am very, very careful to blame or accuse anyone without knowing however...... there is no one else to blame..... Grady did my entire front end himself 2 years ago..... so who else is there to blame? Grady did the tune up himself that 6 months later had to be re-done. This guy is a total hack. The only thing worse than his work.... is his very bad attitude when there is a problem. Everybody is nice be.fore you give them money..... the truth comes out when there is a problem..... they you see have the act and stand up for their product/service. With all this said...... use extreme caution with this guy/place.

Beware the guy has a new larger shop and you will be upsold or charged extra to pay for it. If you want a guy who is in the back drinking beer all day with his buddies this is the place to go. I know a couple of the 5 star reviewers and they are his friends who are in the back drinking beer not customers. He is slow and will give you every excuse in the book such as a bolt broke off or his parts supplier brought him the wrong part. If you want the extra charges knocked off your bill bring him a case of beer and stay for a couple so he can find out what you can do for him.

I have been going to Grady's Garage for a few years now. I am so thankful that I found such a great mechanic. First, Grady is very honest and down to earth. He will help you figure out what you need and what you don't. Also, I have twice now bought a used car and took it to Grady to look over to make sure it was in good condition. My family has bought several and he does the same with them. Second, Grady is efficient and does work in a timely manner. It is best to give him a call and make an appointment. But often, he can get me in the same or the next day for regular maintenance. Finally, Grady is very professional and personable. Not only does he answer his phone and return calls in a timely manner, but he is also a friendly and caring guy. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to Grady's.

Grady is a trustworthy mechanic that will only recommend work that truly needs to be done. He will evaluate the life of the car and the repairs required, never billing you for unnecessary repairs. Grady stands behind all of his work making sure you are always safe when driving your car.
