I cannot recommend enough that you choose Beltmann/northAmerican for your move! Walter and Tito are 12/10. They were incredible from the level of packaging detail, care of our valuables/possessions, and customer service throughout our cross country move.

North American was contracted through Beltmann Relocation Group and, in our case, North American contracted its driver and the driver contracted the movers. We had a very good experience moving from AZ to WY. The driver was great and the movers he used in AZ were excellent. They wrapped every piece of furniture in moving blankets and plastic wrap. To save money, we didn't use their packers and I'd been packing slowly for months, even before putting the house on the market. The insurance was affordable, so we chose the no deductible option. Our load arrived within the week but in a different trailer. We were told and made aware our load would be moved from the trailer used to pick up our belongings in AZ to another before arriving in Cheyenne. Our driver arrived 2 hours before the movers, because they had not been contacted by the driver's scheduler prior to that day, and had to drive up from Denver. They were admittedly high and in a hurry as they hadn't expected to work on a Sunday, ripping through the plastic wrap with box cutters hastily. They managed to gouge and scratch my dresser, but we didn't find any damage to any other furniture items. Since we were moving from our snowbird home to our primary, we had the movers stack the boxes in our garage so we could take our time unpacking and finding a proper space for everything. Eleven days later, we discovered a small box containing my bocce ball set was missing and immediately contacted our K.V., our representative at Beltmann, to file a claim for that and the damage to the dresser. She was going to see if she could locate the missing box. We didn't hear anything from her for almost 30 days, so I reached out to her and she referred me to CO., a representative at Sirva, which I assumed is the insurance company, and I filled out the appropriate form to report our claim. We received notice from Sirva that the dresser would be fixed but the missing item was not covered because we didn't report it missing the day of the move, despite the fact that the claim form says you have up to nine (9) months to file a claim. Explaining why we didn't discover it missing sooner, I was informed my husband signed off on the inventory sheet even though we didn't mark off the "bingo card checklist." I explained we were not given that sheet to inventory and that the driver presented it to my husband as he was about to leave, only asking that he sign it. I appealed this decision and was referred to W.L., another person at Beltmann, or Sirva, or North American, because at this point I'm not sure which entity I'm dealing with, and then W.L. referred me to M.L, whom, we assumed, had the final say. Finally in August we received a letter from M.L. explaining: "It appears this item would have been packed in a pack by owner carton. I do not see this item listed on the inventory separately. Carrier personnel were not involved in packing items into the cartons and we have no knowledge of the contents of the cartons or the value of the contents," and for that reason they would only allow us a MAXIMUM of $150.00. The cost to replace the bocce ball set is $254.06. So, I guess, when one reason to deny coverage fails, you make up another. I don't understand how who packed what would make a difference. Like, would they know which box contained what items AND THE VALUE OF EACH if they contracted someone to pack our belongings? I asked M.L. and this is the reply I got, "As I indicated previously, the carrier has no knowledge of the contents or value of the contents of a packed by owner carton." And for that reason, as a "goodwill gesture," North American issued us another check to bring the amount up to the cost of the bocce ball, minus tax and shipping. I reminded M.L. that a goodwill gesture would have been to pay the claim in full in a timely manner. This took 7 months, several phone calls, a two page appeal letter, and 20+ emails. In conclusion, is the very affordable insurance worth the time and aggravatio

Hired these guys to do a white glove delivery of 2 area rugs. Paid extra for that service. First, the movers refused to wear face masks in our house even if we provided them. We asked and they refused. It was against their political persuasion or something like that. I really don't care what their political persuasion is but I do care if I get Covid. From New York to LA, local governments have responded to the explosion in Covid cases this month by strongly recommending indoor masking again. But not these supermen. Finally, they refused to move anything out of the way in order to unroll the rugs. They would not even roll up the existing area rug. Nothing, nada. They stood by while my wife and I moved whatever was in the way. Took less than 5 minutes. I am 72 years old and she is 64. Obviously, these guys were not tipped and we are generous tippers. I even told them we were generous tippers. Lest you think that they were simply 2 knuckleheads violating company policy, they told us that they had called their manager who told them they did not have to wear masks inside nor move anything out of the way in order to unroll the area rugs. That kind of progressive thinking only comes from the top down.Oh, I almost forgot that they delivered the wrong rug. Also almost forgot that I recently sold a household goods moving company. I know the job well and I know what I would have told my movers. I would have told my movers to mask up and help the customer. The fact that Beltmann told the movers that their attitude toward masking and not helping the customer was OK, should make you think twice before hiring them , especially for white glove service.I know from experience that there are lots and lots of hard working movers in Illinois who would be thrilled to get the work and would encourage their guys to mask up, help the customer, and get tipped well. Just Google "Chicago Movers" and call one of the others.

Incompetent, dishonest, and unethical. SO much went wrong with our 1,400 mile move from Chicago, I don't know where to start with this review, so I'll just hit one highlight. They charged us extra to move expensive chandeliers, charged us for the insurance, delivered them a month late - broke them - and then would not accept responsibility and refused to pay for them. The lights were among several broken items, and the total cost to us for moving, insuring, and replacing the broken items was more than $7,000. As we tried to resolve it, the local office in Roselle stopped taking our phone calls, so we had to hide caller ID to reach them. They lied repeatedly about instructions they supposedly gave to us, and refused to take responsibility for breaking our items. In more than 40 years of dealing with movers, and contractors - this is the most unethical outfit I have EVER dealt with. We are in the process of reporting them to every state authority we can so that more people will be aware of their shady practices. Shame on this group of cowards.

This is one of the only times I have written a review. This company is unethical and covers for their employees. A dresser was donated to one of the movers as they had several children and I was no longer in need of said furniture. Unknowingly, the original movers had left clothes in the dresser on packing (a service I paid for). A day after the move I realized that the entire dresser was filled with clothes and I called to ask to get my clothes back. I was told the items were disposed of and all that was left was a keyboard that was in the dresser. They said my only recourse was to file an insurance claim which I did, only for them to state it was not their fault as I should have known there were items in the dresser. Considering I paid to have my items packed in the first place, and on the inventory list the dresser did not list any clothes inside, I had no knowledge of the items still in the dresser when I donated it. Less than a day later I was informed the items were disposed of and could not get them back. I highly discourage use of this company. They are unethical from top to bottom.

We have been struggling with them all week!! They picked up our stuff last week and call us this week to say they want to charge us another 2000 dollars per extra because they predicted the wrong weight. We have been trying to contact them about how to resolve this and they have been refusing to call us back!! Our stuff is just sitting in their warehouse I guess. We are waiting for corporate to call us back because it’s such bad customer service!!! We have no clue what is going on!!!Update: it’s been over 30 days and we still don’t have our belongings. The driver will call and say that they will be here a certain day and they never show up. For anyone reading this, do not use this company. You will be miserable!!! Warning for all!

We've used Beltmann Moving twice. Once from Texas to Illinois and a second time from Illinois to Colorado. They make the transition very easy. They are professional, handle your belongings with care and are very friendly. Pricing is reasonable as well. If you are looking for a great moving service, I highly recommend them.

Beltmann Relocation Group did my moving from Georgia to MA in October 2021 Larry went to my house in GA and did the estimate. We approved . It was charged $86.48 to wrap the dining table glass, but as it wasn’t needed, the employees told us to contact Belmann to have the reimbursement. After many calls , emails , It took me 8 weeks to have it reimbursed. You can definitely tell that the employees that went to my house in MA to delivery and built the furniture had zero experience to assemble it. -my dresser mirror arrived broken. -part of the dinning table they assembled wrong and once my husband saw it, asked them to fix . -they assembled the day bed totally wrong. The next day , when I went to make the bed , I noticed that they forced parts of the bed to be assembled, the trundle bed was not opening. So I called Larry and told him to have someone to fix it . At the beginning he was rude and even told me that he would put someone sleeping there with no problem but at the next day , he texted me got the approval to refund me the coast of having someone to reassemble it. So he asked me to find someone to fix bed because got approval to refund me. So I went to Rabbit app and schedule someone . He had to go to my house 2 times because the first time he went , pieces were missing , so I had to drive all the way to IKEA to get the missing pieces so he could go back and assembled it correctly. Once I had the amount to be refunded ( Nov 15), it was a nightmare to be refunded ( around $200) Cynthia barely answers the phone or email plus many times is not in the office . ( she is the contact Larry copied me in the email to be payed ). Around December Cynthia copied Maria because seems that she didn’t handle this process, that should be Maria so I started calling , email her but She Never replied my email . I called her so much , that she never called me back , so few times I was able to speak with her for updates . My refund was sent after 8 weeks ( again ) Do I recommend Beltmann Relocation Group? NO for sure . There is no customer service . There is no follow up, there is no care with your stuff , there is no employee capable enough to assemble an IKEA bed . So much stress !! You are their client only until you give your credit card number.

Terrible experience. They breached the contract by not picking up day contracted. Poor communication, don't return calls.

BEWARE of Beltmann. During the initial consultation for a move from NY to CA they quoted me one price and then raised it 40% once they had packed and brought my belongings in storage. After I reluctantly paid this, they delivered my items with over $9,000 worth of damage from being in storage. I’m talking furniture delivered without any blankets or wrapping; metal antiques not packed at all, just thrown on top of other items; designer handbags that were declared as “high value items” shoved as packing material with books and other heavy items; a lovely bed frame not disassembled at all for the storage or move, now warped and broken; a brand new $500 Dyson vacuum shattered and missing critical pieces. The delivery driver said (and I quote) “this is the worst packing I have ever seen in 20 years of being a driver for this company”. Definitely look elsewhere for your moving needs.

The absolute worst. Brian Jozwiak promises the world. First estimate to move from Grayslake, Illinois to Salisbury, N. Carolina was about $7000. When we were actually set to move the quote came in at about $12,000, which both prices included the transport of our vehicle. We confronted Brian about why the costs went up to which he said we had more boxes & more weight. We got rid of many items prior to that which would significantly lower the weight. They never tell you they ar

Beltmann NorthAmerican is a disaster to work with. As soon as they get your business/ have you sign a contract to move, they fall off the planet. Crews are late or no show day after day. They are sloppy, drop boxes, complain constantly and behave down right rude to their customers. They break items and then stall and won’t provide you information to file a claim. The sales rep, who promised to be there for every step and make sure we had white gloves service, has disappeared. I’ve left messages for the managers at the location we went through, Tari Dean to specific, and he has yet to call back after almost 3 days. This company is awful!!! Save your money!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
