“You really need to stop by Mead's a couple of times a month and make them part of your regular grocery shopping routine. There is no place in the Rockford area that treats meat better. From the perfectly juicy corned beef sandwich I had today, to the hard-to-find whole pheasant for last Christmas, this is your place. Ryan will cut your ribeye steaks just as thick as you like, and his dad practically invented seasoning. All you need after that is a cast iron skillet! The Meads have served the Rockford area for generations and have great working relationships with many businesses. Every dollar you spend here not only supports this great butcher shop, but also the local farms that supply them. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!”
“I need to come back for a follow up review and I might change a couple aspects of my review.The food was good. The price of the food could have been a little better for what we got. But otherwise no complaints. They were a little busy, so the review on service could be changed as I don't know their situation. Everyone was friendly.We had no issues with this location, just marked it for how we thought they earned for that particular day. I will still be back!”
“As being a regular customer, I like the little store atmosphere. However lately the smell of raw meet is overpowering the entire store. I would love if maybe air freshener or cleaning floor with piinesol or fabuloloso would help. I truly will love to continue to shop there.”
“We started coming here after we saw an ad for some items that were on sale but we've decided that the quality of meat from Pinnon is far and above the quality of grocery store meat. Gentlemen behind the counter were courteous and helpful. I asked which type of meat would be best suited for making jerky and they were kind enough to recommend a lean, thinly sliced steak. We walked out with a box containing 30 pounds of chicken, 4 lbs of bacon, 4 big Ole cowboy porkchops, the thinly sliced steak and a couple of other things. When the cashier totalled it all up, I expected I might have to take out a loan but their prices are very fair. I also learned that you can get half a beef for a very reasonable price, which might be next on my list, as soon as I get more space in my freezer! Come check out Pinnon and get some quality meat!”
“High quality meats and a few interesting sides. Great stuffed portobello mushrooms. You will pay more for the freshness and quality, but it's worth it. Really have nothing negative to say other than limited parking. If you are a meat lover and you haven't been there, you must check it out!”

“REUBAN sandwich OMG! Just finished it and mind blown! Fresh, huge, just straight delish! I go here primarily for the big top sirloin steaks because we have proven they are the best in town. Melt in your mouth type of feeling. Smoked salmon...dont even get me started on how good it is. I love this place!”

“The meat and deli are both great. You can get a freshly made sandwich and eat it there or takeout. They have a wonderful selection of fresh meats as well as frozen meals. One thing I always get there for my dog is the "chicken chips". My dog loves them.”
