This post office is always understaffed and usually has one man always working. He works well and efficiently. The other day I came in for money order and there was a dark pigmented young lady, with a long red pony tail, and heavy built. She asked for my social and ID for the money order. Because I'm going to give my social security number to the USPS. No. I already knew due to my previous experience it was my luck of the customer service rep. I asked about the man who is usually there. She responded "the slowest working person in here, and I trained him". Due to her and lack of professionalism and that inappropriate outburst regarding her colleague, I left and went to another post office and got the money order with no problem. Although this post office is always understaffed the staff typically make it bearable. However this interesting individual who I've never seen work there before actually fit the area's mold. I'll go there when she isn't there, which is pretty much all the time.

PLEASE HELPEncountering a USPS location with such a pervasive deficiency in the quality of service provided to customers is a deeply concerning and frustrating experience. The persistence of this situation over a significant period of time is unacceptable. The behavior of the staff who flout established protocols and exhibit an absence of civility towards patrons is simply unacceptable. As a federal organization entrusted with the responsibility of serving the public, it is vital that USPS locations adhere to basic standards of professionalism and customer service. This particular USPS location appears to rank as one of the poorest service providers in the entire country. The absence of improvement in service quality despite customer complaints and the lack of resolution by management is compounding the already frustrating experience for customers. The fact that all female employees at the counter require rudimentary training indicates the deficiency of service at this location. Although it may seem harsh, it is undeniable that the service standards provided are subpar. While it is acknowledged that USPS is grappling with funding limitations, customers' negative experiences are not isolated incidents. It is recommended that USPS management prioritize the deployment of male personnel with exemplary customer service skills to the front. Furthermore, it is urged that management scrutinize the negative feedback on Google and take appropriate corrective measures to address the issues raised. The enhancement of service quality at this USPS location is critical, and swift action is necessary to achieve this objective.

I ordered over $250 worth of items the postal carrier for my location left in an unsecured box. My senior citizen building has locked Mail boxes and when you have packages too large for the mail box there is a larger box for those items. A key to that box is sure to be left in your mailbox to retrieve your packages. The postal carrier just left the items in the larger mailbox unsecured where anyone could retrieve them. It took me over six weeks to locate some of them. On occasion, the package will not be left at all!!

I was raised if I didn't have something nice to say.. don't say anything at all. I have something nice to say ....I have a glowing review for one of your Managers Post Officers, Ms Bates! The location is USPS2035 S STATE ST CHICAGO IL 60616Ms Bates was professional, caring and did some research regarding locating a tracking number and a package. She called me back to do a follow up once the packet arrived. Her team of employees on the floor are trained to be friendly, professional and helpful. As a consumer, I have a layman understanding that USPS as a whole is struggling with internal issues. It has been my experience that some locations are suffering more than others. I was so glad to walk into a post office and get wonderful service on the front end and most importantly receive "caring" customer service when I needed help with a delayed/potential missing package.Ms Bates has restored hope in me that the old fashion notion of customer service is still ALIVE.Mary Clare

This place still sucks. 10 years of consistency since I moved into this zip code. Line is longer than hell and there are only a few parking spaces where you can park for free. It's a joke.

Someone illegally had a locksmith change the lock on their mailbox, and the USPS is not doing anything about this federal crime. Furthermore, these "postal" workers put the wrong mail into my mailbox and put my mail into other peoples' boxes. One worker vandalized our mailboxes with a permanent marker. This service is no service. Reduce my taxes!

I went into this post office on July 21, 2022 to deliver a priority package. The young lady who help me was AA with fire red hair. Upon entering the location I requested priority tape to seal the package. The young lady said she didn't have any, which I work at a USPS so I am aware that even if we do not have priority tape we have to have some sort of tape for customers who come in and need to close packaging. I purchased priority shipping prior to coming to the location. According to the USPS website "Post Office™ retail locations provide free Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express®, and Global Express Guaranteed® service packaging supplies for customers." She took my package after I had applied tape told me I must purchase it he tape. I stated no because again I work here so I am aware of the policies and procedures. She stated "I will be nice today" and later find out refuses the package and returns to sender. Please see photos attracted below. It doesn't hurt to be kind to people.

I have never had a more positive experience with the U.S. Post Office than I did last Friday afternoon. Miss Regina went ABOVE and BEYOND for a concern we had. Long story short: we were worried we had the incorrect postage price for 700 envelops that were previously dropped in the mail box earlier that day. Miss Regina not only explained the various possibilities that would occur if we did in fact have the improper postage, but she proactively went to the mailbox, sifted through & retrieved all 700 envelops herself (without my having requested it), then followed up with me with a phone call. She could have easily let the issue go and forgotten about me but Miss Regina made sure she followed through! She was extremely professional, patient, and beyond helpful! The postage ended up being a non-issue and the envelops delivered by that following Monday! Such an epic turnaround!

This happened last week As I got in the car, I wondered "Why are they making me get my poster at the office." My eyes were watery and I was kind of cold, not my fault that I forget to turn the car on sometimes, and this was one of them, I began driving to my favorite Nirvana song, which is Breed, once I got to the post office, I walked out of my car, only to realize the line was out of the door, I waited for about 30 minutes before standing in line as boredom crept up on me. I picked up my phone and began dialing my friend's number. I waited 10 seconds for her to pick up and I put the phone to my ear. "Hello?" I said. "Yes, I'm here". She replied. I walked a little towards the front. "Hmmm, how's life, I'm waiting in a long line at a stupid post office." I sighed. "Yes, I feel you", she sighed back, for the next 4 hours we chatted about video games and stuff. As I got to the line, I hung up and put the phone back into my pocket. "Hello, what the hell do you want" A woman screamed. "A poster." I said in a confused voice. "No we don't have one." She shouted. I ran out, angry that they had done that, I ripped the car door open and jumped in, I drove just 1 mile under the speed limit back home. When I got back home. I opened the door and walked inside. I dialed my friend again and put the phone to my ear. "It sucked!" I screamed, at least my dog, Lilly is there to comfort me on those days, she curled up to me, and began explaaining my problems to her. Her fur really does relax me.

Terrible customer service. Very rude and unprofessional. Parking lot nonexistent - filled with postal trucks. I felt judged and clerks kept shouting they hated working in the front and want to be back in their office...I hate coming here. It's always stressful.

One star is way too generous! This location is trash! There is always just one clerk who moves the speed of a turtle! The parking lot is non existent as it's filled with carriers in postal vehicles and personal vehicles chatting it up. They also don't mind blocking traffic with personal vehicles. They don't attempt to deliver packages to my building because they're lazy! Then give you a hard time picking up a package. Horrible representation of USPS! Do better!!

When you think their service can't get worse, it does. I was shipping multiple items, and was just sealing the last one as she was ringing up the other two. As soon as she saw that I was sealing, she immediately told me to step aside. It only took me two seconds to tape up an envelope and it was ready as she was done talking. I told her it's ready can she just start ringing this one up so I can be done with my transaction, she said no she had to take someone else because it wasn't sealed when I got to the counter. I was in such a hurry because of their bad parking situation, I was blocking someone in, so I was trying to finish quickly before that person so he wouldn't have to wait for me. But no, she kept telling me to step aside and give other customer "space". I was not that close to anyone. And the other guy was THREATENING me saying they are not going to service me if I don't do what they say. And they both knew someone was waiting for me to finish so I can move my car. They still moved super slow finishing the all the transactions with NO sense of urgency. How these people have jobs is beyond me. They lost 2 packages last year with totally value over $1600!!! And one is current in limbo, hasn't been updated in weeks.
