Yea that was pretty messed up.I came here through elite staffing.What they say is true. I am Mexican legal born 1996. I came here looking for a job where I could save up money for a car and rent.I show up everything is fine perfect. Every one gets along and it’s not heavy lifting.I start working out and lifting weights on the weekends, after a few weeks I am faster stronger so I workout some weekdays.But anyways after my first few days here there was a few altercations between other workers.The line lead didn’t seem to resolve the issue.It was almost as if every time there was an altercation they were no signs of the lead no where to be found. But when there was no signs of trouble, everything running smoothly. The lead would come near us and tell us to speed up. Speed up.Someone told me I believe was because the lead is just another temp worker in the same situation as me. If they don’t produce their numbers theylll get terminated.Anyways.I end up being terminated a week later.Why? Idk? They said there was an open investigation.Were there people talking about each other and gossiping in English? Yes in Spanish? YesWere there arguments and almost fights over it? Yes.Where there a lot of illegals talking about not having papers? Yes. Did I get into an argument with them? No they only spoke Spanish though.That’s what really suprised me the most.What people say is true there are illegals working there in the same position as me but they would tell me they had months working there. Months or years. Everyone that spoke English, whenever I asked how long they’ve been working here, they said only a few days or a week.From the start it sounded suspicious but I just focused on working.My agency said there was an open investigation. But for what? I lost my job, forced to go to a new one, had one strike over aDo not return.And let me tell you,A lot of the people I would come on the bus with kept getting Do not returned right away.It was not due to poor performance because i worked next to them and they did just fine.Idk I think they are using us. Using American citizens to hide the fact they are using these warehouses to supply illegal immigrants with jobs.Honestly I’ve seen this problem before, now that I have seen it again it feels sad. For everyone because everyone is losing but mostly I feel it is unfair.I was born here. My parents fought for my right to have the right to work. And to be taken advantage ofJust so an illegal with proper connections can get me terminated. It just feels wrong.And they’re not nice Mexicans from the Mexico City.They are Mexicans from little ranches and small tiny villages or even more southern countries.I know because they would tell me.And for some reason those ranch small tiny village people have a problem with big city Mexico City people. They call it hating a chilango. Chilango meaning Mexican from the big city Mexico City.Anyways my uncle is from Mexico City and he told me about his time working at Menasha. He was trying to get ahead and worked really hard and was trying to get on a forklift. He worked hard and eventually they let him.But a Mexican rancher supervisor told him to get off the forklift and made a big deal of it.Anyways my uncle gets promoted to sanitation. He uses the big machine vehicle used for cleaning the warehouse floor.The rancher Mexican opens up the machine valve that lets out all the water out for draining. He opened it up as my uncle was slowly driving by cleaning the floor.The supervisor yells saying hey man stop look you’re spilling all the water.This machine was the big machine meant for big warehouses. Which holds a ton of dirty black water it all just poured out like an open water hose.My uncle got out and demanded an explanation. Uncle said I saw your shadow I saw you.I saw a shadow dive near the car I didn’t think much of it since it jumped towards the car.And then all of a sudden the supervisor shows up like he didn’t see the shadow or didn’t notice anyone else. This place is full of not legal immigrints, who will complain about you when you show up to do a excellent job for them. The spanish speaking immigrints, will make up not true things about you, hear say. I can say Breanda the on site was wonderful, amazing, helpful.
