After meeting with Rich, we thought Olsen (akaCorriga) would be worth the extra money compared to some other quotes we had received. Unfortunately he isn’t the one actually responsible for the packing and moving. Everything went wrong starting with the first hour of the packers and still is 3 months later. Mayflower was delayed 10 days in delivery (huge inconvenience when you move a family of 6 across the country) broke thousands of dollars of items and has remained totally unresponsive for the past 3 months. Take our warning and choose another company.

As a RE/MAX Broker I have recommended them to many clients. I have also used them personally! Their staff was excellent. My move went smoothly, and they were very accurate on their estimate.

Worked with Lindsey as my point of contact throughout the whole process. Was on top of everything and very responsive when I had questions.

Clearly busy life since I am just writing this from our move in November of 2020. My husband and I moved form Illinois to Florida. Mike was out mover and driver and was amazing and excellent communication. Lindsey was our Move Coordinator and was excellent as well! Main things to know for people choosing is make sure you ask all the questions, get your own boxes, determine what you want them to pack vs what you will pack. We chose to pack everything except the heavy items. We for our own boxes/tape but chose to have boxes from them for tv,bedroom etc. When it came to pricing it might seem a little higher but what you see on the quote of what you pay. They don't surprise you with extras after the fact. I noticed with other companies ( I talked to almost 30) their quotes were lower by $1,000 at least and didn't have all the details noted as discussed hint why it was lower. My husband moved multiple times out of state and got scammed couple of times and said this was surprisingly a no stress move compared to the other ones. This was the right company for us and based on our needs so I would recommend but would still do your part of asking about everything so there are no surprises. Good luck

2 weeks ago I moved from Illinois to Nevada. I did a LOT of due diligence and finally settled on Mayflower and Olsen Brothers, as they had a reasonable quote and, more importantly, a reasonable timeline for getting me my belongings (so many firms had 31 day windows... what am I supposed to do without my bed for 31 days?). TLDR: The move went smoothly with a small delay due to weather / COVID, and nothing was damaged, scratched, or dented. Not a single broken glass. Great communication throughout the entire process by Lindsey, the move coordinator, and wonderful movers both in Illinois and Nevada. Here's a detailed description of the process: - Moving quote / estimate: I scheduled a videocall for someone to take a look at all of my belongings and give me a moving quote. The person on the video call gave me a lot of great tips (like, don't take cleaning supplies / liquids with you, as they might puncture or burst and ruin your couch... and I'm glad I did not as it was approx. 3 degrees the week I moved!). I received a quote and accepted, and gained access to Mayflower's website and a moving coordinator, Lindsey (who was fantastic)! - Before the move: Lindsey kept in touch and answered all of my questions very quickly and made the entire experience a lot less stressful! - Moving day: my movers in Illinois put a code on every piece of furniture / box, to make sure nothing got lost. They were polite, quick, and knew their stuff! - The move: Here there was a delay due to COVID and snowstorms, but it was only 5 days, and Mayflower will give us a $100/day refund for those days. In truth, even with the delay - they were still the fastest moving service in the price range. - Move in day in Nevada: again, we got great movers who got our furniture inside our home and assembled everything very quickly and efficiently. Not a single item was damaged / scratched or broken in any way. Overall: Let's forgive them the slight delay in delivery in these crazy times. I really recommend this company for your cross-country move!

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience with Olsen Brothers. We received the wrong bill on three separate occasions. If we were not watching closely, we would have been overcharged for our storage twice. Then we were sent a bill for storage after all of our items were delivered. On our moving day, the movers did not clear a kitchen cabinet. This caused my husband to drive an hour to our retrieve the leftover items. The buyers of our home threatened that they would not close because these items remained. Lastly, we felt there were deceptive billing practices. We asked on numerous occasions if we owed additional fees to have our furniture and boxes brought from storage to our new home. Our representative told us no every single time. She did not bother to mention that those fees were forthcoming. I wish we had used another service.

Deceptive billing practices. When I asked 3 times if I owed any additional money and was told no every time and then get charged with an additional fee. Very disappointing and can’t recommend in good conscience. They need to be more upfront with customers on billing.Movers were fairly good but for forgetting to to pack several cabinets and forcing me to drive 1 hour back to the property to retrieve items they forgot to move and ultimately delay real estate closing

Olsen Brothers Mayflower just completed moving my furniture into storage this past weekend. I am rehabbing my condominium and needed to move all furniture out of the condominium into storage. Cliff was the lead on my job and he called me first thing in the morning telling me what time he was going to be there and that he would take good care of my move. I cannot tell you the relief I felt with that phone call. I was quite nervous about the move, and he put me at ease. When the crew got there Cliff introduced everyone to me, and again stressed that I would be well taken care of which gave me an additional level of comfort. Then they got to work. They did an excellent job of padding and/or shrink wrapping my furniture. I felt like they really cared about what they were doing and that it was important to them to do a good job. The three young men on the job were friendly and courteous. I was impressed with the level of customer service from the entire crew. They finished the entire job in pretty much exactly the time that was estimated (I think it was 15 minutes less). I would like to also thank Steve, the person who came out to do my estimate. He not only did the estimate, but also advised me on what I needed to do for the move to go well. As I indicated I put my furniture in storage, and Steve actually stopped by the storage facility I chose to make sure the space I rented was of adequate size. I was not expecting him to take that extra step for me. Lindsey in the office was also very helpful, returned my calls quickly and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. She actually called me once from home. Overall I made the right decision picking Olsen Brothers and feel 100% satisfied with the entire move.

Were blocking the alley between Burling and Halsted just south of Wrightwood. They could have at least moved back five feet to let cars go through the alley. Also when asked why they were blocking the alley they lied and said the alderman told them to park there and they paid $50 to park there. Called the alderman and they do not charge for the service and you have to get movers no parking signs so you can park on the street without blocking traffic. Very unprofessional group of movers. If you see them blocking streets call the alderman and/or the police to have them move.

Mover asked me to park in a different space so he could pull his truck behind me. I said we ask movers to park right across from entrance. This would not block any spaces and be close to entrance. He said no, too dangerous for his movers. We live on a cul de sac. Not dangerous. Said if I didn't move he would block me in. I said I would call the police, he said go ahead.

We moved a 3 bedroom household from one Chicago suburb to another about an hour apart and had a great experience with Olsen Brothers. Blair came out to give a price quote and he was professional and friendly and very helpful.

I used Olsen Brothers for a move from the Northwest suburbs to the city. The movers got there around 8am-11am. That's included packing up one location, another stop and a drive into the city!! I could not be more pleased with my experience. The movers were kind, efficient and quick. I had a tight move in time with my building reserving the elevator and they were finished two hours early. The estimate provided a month before was dead on. I could continue raving. Thank you Olsen Brothers.

Caution, do not use these people. They moved my brother's goods from Huntley Illinois to Oregon and broke the leg off a beautiful antique desk. If your furniture is precious to you avoid these people like the plague
