I ran in to use the restroom before rudely being told that I had to buy something, which I had no problem with. He then stood up at a towering 5'3 "and cursed at me and told me to leave. I've never experienced anything like this before. I walked out and noticed him standing outside the side door, flipping me off and taking a video. I should have known better looking at the place. I later read in a different review that the restrooms are outside, and it's a Johnny on the spot. Other reviews also talk about the short rude man. I am in shock to how the place stays in business with an employee like that.

Guy behind the counter said I had an attitude and ASSAULTED me. Apparently they have one ring camera. So much for safety. Police said there were multiple other cases like this when I called them. STAY AWAY

EMS worker here. I stopped in here for the restroom. Guy said restrooms are for customers only. No problem. Grabbed a small, travel hand sanitizer to purchase and dude rang it up as $7.49! Absurd. I said I wouldn’t pay that price so I grabbed quarter-sized single piece of candy expecting to pay maybe 50 cents. He rang it up for $2.79! I told him that I wasnt paying that amount either and turned around to leave and he shouted “Go work over time and make some money”. Appalling and so rude to say. This man is a criminal and makes up pricing on the spot. Do not spend your money here you will be scammed.

If I could give zero stars and still tell yall how bad this place is, I would. But, I just want to say this has got to be one of the worst gas stations I've ever been to.I go in with a cigarette coupon in my hand and he says right away we don't take coupons and okay they won't accept a manufacturer coupon for cigarettes that they sell... okay. That's whatever but then he tells me each pack is 19.99 now yea it's cook county but he was just giving me that price to be rude cause his tone was I don't want to sell to u at all cause he judged me by how I look vefore anythingWho knows but they rip people off, that's all I know. And this isn't the first time that I've had a terrible experience here. (BTW I went right to the next gas station and the smokes were 16bcks)

Insanely overpriced, dirty, smells terrible. I should have known better from the empty parking lot. A bottle of water and a soda cost me almost $12 and my card had already gone through before I noticed the total. When I asked what was so much the guy told me to leave and not come back. I usually would never leave a review like this for any business but I’ve never been so swindled in my life. Thankfully I didn’t get gas, they were charging $7.99 for regular, $8.99 for mid grade and $9.99 for premium

Stopped by here to use the restroom and grabbed some snacks, but the person running it told me to buy something before using it. Once I bought a drink, he told me to go outside to the Porta Potty behind the store, which was covered in toilet paper on the inside and smelled disgusting.

Don’t buy anything from this store! They charged me over $9 for just a can of RedBull and a candy bar. I also believe that my credit card information was stolen/skimmed from this location as well early this year as this place was the only store that i visited and swiped my card at…

I am uncertain if you can give negative stars but this location certainly warrants it. I would prefer giving good reviews to negative ones, BUT, people need to know. If and only IF you have to stop here, don't! Avoid this location at all costs. In reading other reviews, they seem to have a recurring theme "OVER CHARGING". I was desperate and needed window washer solvent and could barely see out the windshield. I had exited from 53 and they were the first available location. The attendant charged me $15.00 for a 1 gallon container of washer solvent. I quoted him what the price should be because I'm in the automotive industry. I told him he was completely out of line but I needed the solvent to see my way home. He actually made a joke of it and laughed at me. The following day I called area stations for pricing and they were all between $3.99 and $4.99 for the same product. I drove back to Marathon and stated my frustration and asked for a manager/owner, anyone who could help me. The attendant blew me off repeatedly and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. He was very demeaning. He gave me a phone number to call which no one answered. I stayed in my car, processing what had just happened. I decided to call Rolling Meadows police to inquire if I had any recourse. I spoke to Officer Bob W. who was kind and patient, listening to me which allowed me time to calm down. In the interim, the rude attendant must have called the manager because he pulled in and waved me to the entrance. I recognized the truck and the person as he was there yesterday when I made the purchase. He was at the ATM inside which made me think he was a customer. I followed him in, he identified himself as the manager, and after a brief conversation, he returned my money. Well, the balance subtracting a more reasonable price for the solvent. Lesson learned: check your windshield solvent levels and do not go to the Marathon on Kirchoff and Hicks. EVER....
