I wanted to buy a nice-looking papaya, but the cashier wouldn't let me because he didn't know how to ring it up. I said I really wanted it and suggested he ask a colleague, but he refused and set the fruit aside. On the same visit we saw a mouse in the produce department. (last week of September 2024)

I've been a loyal customer for many years. But I'm clearly not the only person who has noticed. The team up in the front is very understaffed. I'm constantly waiting in long lines every time I shop and they never, I repeat, NEVER have an adequate number of lanes open or baggers available. The management at this store is very incompetent and will likely not do anything to fix this. They are deaf and never resolve any of the problems with the store. I'll take my business elsewhere!

Some of the self checkout staff can’t handle the technology. I can’t even blame them. Management probably didn’t train them. I swear the deli puts old salads behind their counter. I got pasta salad with old stale noodles. Not to mention the deli staff scream and fight with each other. One ladies high pitched voice I can hear through out the store. There are never any baskets.

I’ve been shopping at this Jewel for a while now, i’ve never had any problem with this location until recently. I’m really frustrated with how the service has been . It seems like they never have enough people and the lines are always long. I find myself bagging my own groceries more often than not, which is pretty annoying. Even when someone comes to open another register it feels like they’re juggling the workload of three people. I can’t help but feel bad for them, and it just adds to the chaos. I hope they can get their staffing issues sorted out soon, or I might have to consider shopping somewhere else.

WHY DONT YOU PEOPLE HAVE BASKETS AT EITHER ENTRANCE. EVER. Goto the jewel on vail St they have baskets at both entrances. So easy to fix yet this management team is so useless!

Don’t read further down. Betsy is off her rocker.
This store is great. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Shelves always stocked 24/7. Only reason produce runs out BETSY is because people buy it!

This store is the perfect example of why Jewel always comes in at the bottom of the barrel in national surveys like Consumer Reports. In just the last 2 weeks, we had to go stand in line at customer service three times because the Just For U clipped coupons and freebies didn't work and oranges rang up at a ridiculously high price instead of the sale price.
There is a young cashier named Joe who has the worst attitude I have ever encountered at any grocery store. He obviously hates his job and I will stand in a long line from now on to avoid his lane.
The produce department is woefully inadequate. I wanted to buy D'Anjou pears that were on sale and they literally had 10, most of which were beat up. They offered free spinach and guess what - they had no packages and in fact, no packaged lettuce whatsoever. According to the produce manager, their paid-for order was shipped to another store!
Half of the stuff dumped in the area near the bathrooms isn't on sale at all. I just bought Whole Wheat Carr Crackers that could have made me incredibly sick - they expired seven months ago and I didn't notice the date so I am returning them - completely rancid! I can't begin to tell you how many times we've had to bring items over to the scanner, only to discover they were full price. This area is more of a dumping ground for wayward groceries than a haven for bargains!
The bright spot is woman Caryl who has worked here for years - she has become quite friendly and personable. We always talk to her when she is working the self-check out area.

Download the Jewel app and you’ll save a ton of money. I shop for customers through ubereats all the time and they have most of everything in stock. If they don’t it’s not anybody’s fault the customer approves the substitute I request most of the time. They have organic fruits & vegetables, & the employees are really nice, especially in the deli. Dennis, I believe is how you spell his name, is a very positive and hard working man. All the employees whenever I need help finding something always stop what they’re doing and help me with an actual smile. I really enjoy shopping at jewel for myself & making the customers satisfied through ubereats.
