I've used UPS whenever possible for about 3 years now, after having UPS ship from Belgium to my temporary address in Tucson (whilst visiting there). The sellers did an 'adequate' job of packing, but ***UPS' handling*** was clearly the Difference which allowed it to arrive in one piece. I was impressed. :-)
So when a smaller but similar dense art object showed up at the Rockford Goodwill, I was delighted to see mention of UPS 2817 as having given good pick-up service for some of their out-of-town customers. I contacted this UPS store, while the auction was still underway, and am VERY glad I did!
After making proper arrangements, my pkg arrived on schedule...and not only was UPS **handling** of it Excellent...IT WAS SUPERBLY PACKAGED!!!!!
Great Job all around, & I'm now truly aware of the superiority of UPS PAK services; and the Support Team approach to Goodwill customer servicing REALLY WORKS.
So, a Great Job & it won't be forgotten. The next time serendipity strikes at Goodwill's online site...I'll look for the nearest UPS store - and hope they may be as enlightened as you all are @ #2817.

Was there to return package to Amazon and decided to purchase 2 books of stamps that cost $13.20 per book everywhere else. Received my Visa bill today and see I was charged $20.00 per book of stamps. $40.00 charge for 2 books of stamps that would be $26.40 everywhere else. I called The UPS Store and was told yes that is what they charge. In that case I should have been informed of this price at time of purchase. I was not told this price nor did I receive a receipt.

Awww man......looks like I need to send something back through shipping. Well I'm off work so that is a plus. With that said it rarely happens so I get driving with a positive attitude. I pull into the parking lot and not too bad. A few others with the same mind, yet not a line out the door. I get out, in the door and into line. Hey this is going well.....almost at the front. Then it happened.....I was treated like an important consumer, wow. The, young lady (Alissa) greeted me so I knew what line to enter. The man (Ryan) in the opposite line told me "hello" with a firm nod to let me know I'm being attended to. I thinking, "I have my phone info ready and this is open and shut......yes." Well no.....I was not completely ready and I was doing what I planned to avoid.... holding up the line. Awww, man.... who am I right now?? Before I totally lost it inside my own brain Alissa told me, "You are fine.....is it ok for the next to move up in line?" I said, "Yes!...I'm holding things up.... thank you." As I got things in order Ryan managed to dodge a negative comment about pricing and reply with patience and knowledge. Of course I'm multitasking while dealing with my lack of shipping information.... what else is new, lol. Both professionals are handling questions and getting things accomplished with a relaxed calm. Right on que..... the line increased. I finally got my information through to the store email after a try or two....
(don't judge me, lol.) Things got completed and I was told, "You are good and nothing to worry about." I got the nod from Ryan on the way out and I let them both know...." I cannot even deal with you guys... you are doing great work." I gave the salute as I turned and got back to my day. The UPS #2817, near East State, really gave me a positive feeling and knowledge so I can be ready.....so not to hold up the line. (Shaking my head as you read.)

The customer service is great, but this place is way too small and they need about triple the employees. Pretty much anytime you go here there's a long wait and half the time the line is out the door
