Called the Career Services and Consoling for help with Job interviewing, and they have a knack for creating drama and trouble. Rose correctly detected my anxiety, however the way she address it was way out of line. First asking me about suicide... then about my personal life.... None of your business since I don't need the cops at my door, and why do you say I am off topic when I am answering your stupid questions. Anyway, spent the rest of the morning dealing with cops and the like having to answer for the imagination of that Rose individual. You will not get meaningful help here, quite the opposite.

RVC is the best first-step approach to college. I'm a returning, adult student and all of my professors have been top notch. Staff is kind and helpful, classmates are diverse and respectful...I have nothing but wonderful things to say about RVC.

I earned my associate's degree at RVC before transferring to a four-year school to finish my bachelor's. It was an excellent decision. The professors are top-notch and prepare you well. Dr. Martin Quirk is amazing. He was the advisor for the Model UN team and developed the public speaking and research skills of many of RVC's best alumni. He built them up to compete against ivy league students and provided them opportunities to travel which wasn't otherwise accessible to students of modest means Dr. Mike Kelley is the best science teacher ever. His enthusiasm for the subject matter is enthralling. I loved his Atmospheric Science class. All of this and it's still very affordable. You won't regret attending RVC.

I’ve had very good and bad experiences at Rock Valley. For one thing, the teachers seem to be excellent like Joseph Haverly or they are absolutely terrible. There’s not usually much of an in-between. And to the professors that really care and love what they teach, God bless you all. Another complaint I have is the customer service. Whenever I try to call the College I’m greeted by a bot asking me dial a number based on what type of question I have… I’m then usually greeted by an 18 year old who either just hangs up or has absolutely no idea what is going on and leaves me hanging on the phone for 20+ minutes for me to get an answer to basic questions about registration and finances. *Update* Avoid any professor here that refers to themselves as “professor.” If you end up with one, just save yourself and refund the class: you’ll thank me later.

I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time now. I took the CNA course here a few years back. I was one of the older students in the class, as most were just out if highschool, and I was in my mid 20s. I loved the class and really learned a lot. After getting my CNA license I did private duty home health care in the rockford area until moving out of state. Then I transferred my license there and began working in a skilled nursing facilty. It seemed like I knew a lot more tips and tricks, for lack of a better word, to making the job easier and more efficient while making the residents happy and keeping them healthy! At RockValley I was also taught great customer service skills for the job that are absolutely necessary in the nursing field. In just a few short months I was promoted to Admissions Director at the nursing home with my only relatable experience being the short time as a CNA. Without the skills I learned at RockValley I would have never had such an opportunity to shine amongst my coworkers and be offered a great position. When I started the CNA course I didn't know if I wanted to eventually become a nurse, so just know there are definitely other avenues after the CNA license, that's just the first step to many opportunities. When I first applied for the CNA course, it was completely full, I only got in after someone else dropped the class. After a couple years my life has completely changed for the better, and could never have been done without RockValley College and their CNA course. Forever grateful for the awesome teachers I had that helped me better my life. I highly recommend this course!

The quality of education provided by Rock Valley College is unmatched especially if you consider quality for price. When I transferred to my university my professors were universally surprised by my level of preparedness coming from a community college. It was commonplace for myself and other RVC grads to outperform students who had been at that University since their freshman year. I have heard the same from other RV secrets at other universities as well. Save yourself thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars and get your associate's degree at RVC.
