After reading your review I'm starting to think that that is normal protocol for that type of care I was having chest pains and I too was there for 7 hours!! Almost eight I was blown away try to be in a hospital bed and occupy a child!! But then again I was sent there after going to an urgent care I clearly had bronchitis but because of how low my blood pressure was even though I clearly explained to them if they look in my chart I have extremely extremely low blood pressure I have been seeing my heart doctors and everything about it I just have low blood pressure I'm perfectly fine that was not good enough for her she insisted I needed an MRI and a CT even did two EKGs there at the urgent care but and they came out fine mind you that wasn't good enough insisted that she would not give me anything and I needed to go to the emergency room so I went there because she insisted that because of my symptoms I had a blood clot! I went there did all their stupid ass tests mind you I was scheduled to have a procedure to check my varicose veins scheduled for that Monday and it was a Saturday and so I went to the emergency room they saw that I had the test scheduled and there was nothing they could do but a CT or MRI they did that they saw nothing that said I had a blood clot but they did all their proper procedures and guess what guess how long I was there take a good guess I bet you can't guess it 7 hours!! I really think they must get a kick back if they have a patient there for 7 hours cuz it seems to be their lucky freaking number! I used to go to the hospital in North Carolina or Virginia and be in and out Max I think I ever had been there was 3 hours seriously that was the longest normally an hour was tops when I came here I used to go to Mercy on rockton same thing in and out 2 hours was the max I ever was in there and then during covid they decided to do their whole political b******* and closed down the ER on rockton now everyone is screwed and we all have to wait 10 hours I kid you not I literally literally don't I'm not even lying to you I hate going to the ER so much that it's literally become like the only way I can explain it is like a form of PTSD like I literally have been told if I don't go I could be dying and I I just I don't want to go because all I have are bad flashbacks of this place and since I have PTSD I know that PTSD is flashbacks and that's what I have is negative horrible flashbacks of this place!! That's horrible that I've been treated so bad and on top of it been stuck in this place for 7 hours out of a day or 7 hours out of a night and usually with no conclusion or been given the same answer that I told them that was wrong with me when I got here which pissed me off even more like why are you going to Bill insurance for what I told you was wrong with me when we got here you could have just give me the f****** medicine and been on my way it wouldn't have taken 7 hours I mean I know my body I'm 42 years old but seriously for it to get to that point there's a problem you know what I'm saying I can't be the only one!! I mean s*** I have to take a Xanax before I can come here

Has to be the worst experience I've ever had at a hospital emergency room, it's been seven hours to get one cat scan. They tell us it's because this is a trauma center and there's been a lot of trauma this evening, but then I hear the nurse say well her vitals are good so there's no hurry. Came in at 4 o'clock and it's 1052 and we still have not had the results of the Cat scan, ask for a little information on why and we just keep getting lies . I would rather go to a witch doctor than here.

I have been a cancer patient here since 2014. My oncologist is Dr Bryan. I have nothing but high praise for him. Until recently Nurse Cindy was his nurse. I will say this, there is a special place in Heaven for Nurse Cindy. His new nurse is Nurse Reesise. I hope I got her name spelled correctly. She was wonderful. I got emotional so she sat down beside me and heard me out. She held my hand and gave me a hug. She reassured me. I highly recommend the cancer center. Everyone is top notch.

Do not go here. They charge for unnecessary medical tests then while disputing the charges they send you to collections. They also treat patients terribly in the ER.

Do not go here. Nurses are nice, but are not urgent to get anything done. Couldn’t even keep their notes updated for the next nurse. I was screamed at by a secretary for staying with my husband because of Covid. Even though he walked around the floor with no mask on and multiple nurses and drs. coming into the room and pulling their masks down. We did not receive an actual diagnosis. When we asked what was going all we heard was I don’t know. They are a “we get to it when we get to it” hospital. They would leave my husband without water or fluids for over an hour at a time before someone would come in to change his bag or get him more water. I had to let the nurses know what was going on each day because the notes were not done correctly. The female physician we saw was awful. She was rude, and didn’t have any answers to any of our questions. But, she tried to keep my husband there for an extra 2 days. Just don’t go here or send anyone you live here.

The staff is awful. The nurses were harassing me while my husband was there. They screamed at me for "spreading covid" after another nurse told me to wait outside during a brain screening. At first we were in the emergency room and the nurses there were fine but after getting a room for critical Covid care the nurses were demonic, evil, and mean. They have terrible communication skills and I hope one of their loved ones have to be treated the same way they treated my loved one and I so they can learn to not act like such fools. Idk what was more traumatizing. My husband almost dying in my arms or how we were treated at OSF.

Took my sister for pre-operation tests. Efficient & fast. Problem is why did we have to drive 70 miles in 50mph winds for tests that could have been done in our hometown? Results could have been transmitted via the internet.

My sister is in St Anthonys Hospital, she's a complicated case for she's an alcoholic. When she was in critical care the nurses would speak to me anytime and were kind. But she is now in 3 East and the nurses are not as informative. While there my sister needed the bedpan when I asked the RN, Maria she was very unhappy and complained she'd been on the bedpan 5 times and doesn't urinate. Went on to tell me how busy she is, which seems the theme of this department for I have heard this numerous times. My sister was completely exposed when I walked into her room, so any vistor walking by could see her. She was at the bottom of the bed which Maria told me she "always" does that so it doesn't do any good to pull her up. At home I try calling this department and for the most part phones go unanswered, even the nurse manager doesn't return my call. I'm a RN and Ive got to say this profession has really declined. I don't even tell people I'm a RN anymore. What happen to common curiosity for your patient. Being a Catholic hospital I felt maybe my sister would be treated okay. But I'm really thinking this hospital was a big mistake. I'm not saying all the nurses on this floor is rude but this nurse was very irritated! The medical assistants who came to help me were very kind.

It was the worse experience of my life. There is not compassion at all in their service. The lady that took my son's IV was the same that was at the reception she was in such a hurry looking for his veins that you could see the middle moving under his skin. My son that was there for appendicitis, who at the end had surgery, told me that he almost passed out of pain because the way she was in a hurry looking for his veins. The lady that gave him the morphine did it so fast that he had a reaction. The ER doctor was so rude, he only addressed my 15 years old son and got upset when my husband and I answered on my minor son's behalf. The only good one was the nurse practitioner Sonia. They are so under staff but the will charge you like VIP service. As a Catholic I was embarrassed to see how they treated us and other patients. They shouldn't have the picture of Jesus or Virgin Mary, they are the most traumatizing experience I had. Thanks God he was transferred to Sweeds Hospital for the surgery and the difference was from night to day. Their personnel need training and they need to be more understanding of the needs of their patients.
