Schnucks off of Perryville is a disappointing store. I say this primarily because they have the potential to be an excellent grocer in this area. Many supermarkets, including high-quality stores, struggle to offer consistent quality in produce. Having shopped at this location many times, I have been thoroughly impressed by their produce. Everything looks fresh, and I never see sections of tired or rotting fruits or vegetables. On this basis alone I would give them five stars. Unfortunately, this store has the worst customer service of any grocery store I've ever seen. I thought maybe it was just certain times of day or certain employees, but after having shopped there for more than a year now, I've come to realize there is just a culture of bad customer service. I've contacted their corporate office with employee names and details about a particularly bad experience, one that should have resulted in the termination of two employees (in my estimation), but those employees still work there and behave the same way. It seems that customer service is not the highest priority for Schnucks. Overall, it depends on what your priorities are. If you just care about the quality of the products, this would be an excellent place to shop. If you care about prices, this is not the store for you as their prices are significantly higher than price-competitive grocers (i.e., Aldi, Woodman's). If you care about customer service, then stay away from this store.

I am on a temporary contract assignment & live close to the Cherryville location. With a home in Michigan, and as a native Chicagoan, I can't help but make some comparisons in grocery stores. Product availability for ethnic and less ordinary foods is disappointing. Prices run high and an example is Bob Evans Mac & Cheese-Schuncks had product for $6.99 which can usually be found in the $4-$5 range. A positive is the Schnucks spaghetti sauce-garlic or vodka sauces are excellent. The plastic grocery carts are a feature I would like to see at Michigan stores. The Store made pizza in brown cardboard window box is pretty good & I am glad Home Run Chicago pizza is available.

Schnucks is cool. They have extraordinary officially made plates of mixed greens. What's more, chicken moved up with cheeses and diverse things. Pork as well. I trust there nourishment more than certain spots.

24 Hour gas station near Schnucks and Cherryvale Mall. This location has newer and well maintained pumps and is the only station that I have seen in the area that accepts cash directly into the pumps! They also take credit/debit cards and Speedpass. This station is unattended during the overnight hours.
