Initially satisfied with the unit. Eventually after having the unit for several years even becoming friendly with the manager and more then happy with the communication and support of the team. I changed my phone number and had moved a few times. I contacted them with my updated information over phone initially and eventually over email. Life got the better of me and my wife left me. I forgot to make a payment then they went radio silent after a few months of having updates them and never getting a message back, I kept reaching out when they finally got back to me they refused to talk about the issue. Whenever I tried to access my account on the app my account could never be set up so I couldn't pay online. Do not use this company if you want a company with good communication as they seem to have overworked the management and under trained others.

Hate the place. People are very rude cut my lock off went through my storage when I had no business doing that horrible place would not recommend renting from them at all. The manager is very rude when I try to come to him with my problems do not rent from them.

While initially I was satisfied with the unit, the rodent infestation was rampant at my unit. They soon damaged and destroyed my belongings and left a horrid smell. I managed to trap 6-7 mice before moving out because I realized they would not stop coming. Do not store here if you want a worry free experience.

We used BoxedUp Self Storage to facilitate our downsizing and moving. Facilities were clean, well lit and safe. Juan was very helpful with questions. The 173 facility was a great location as well!

i have had my storage unit over at boxed up rockford for over 4.5 YEARS since i was 18 and went into the military i got my storage unit b4 i shipped out to basic. There was different ownership when i had gotten my storage unit in the begining! I had no issues until just this month! Juan is SUPER unprofessional, arguing with customers and etc.I would NOT reccomend getting a storage unit here unless you want to waste your energy arguing with Juan over the phone.

Rented a 10x20 unit here for almost 2 years. Never had any problems & unit was very nice. Only moved out because we no longer needed storage. Would recommend!

Juan is very rude!!! I asked a question and he berated me and threatened to cancel my unit because "he is the manager". I have never been treated this poorly by any employee. Juan is a poor choice for manager!!!!! ????

We’ve used Boxed Up Self-Storage in Rockford, IL on Sandhutton for the past year. We had one large outdoor storage unit as well as one large indoor climate controlled unit. Both units were perfect for our needs. We were in the process of moving to Florida and the staff at Boxed Up Self-Storage did an excellent job accommodating our needs.If you have additional storage requirements, I can’t recommend them enough!

Juan & Nic are awesome! gave me options for units! fairly priced! Explained what I needed to do in this stressful situation of needing a storage unit, they made it easy! other places didn't even seem to care if I went with them. nic and Juan aren't just there to collect a paycheck!
