I used Dohrn Transfer to ship 2 pallets of tires, they were low bidder. Business address to Business address forklift on both ends I get an invoice for 131.98 for liftgate service and residential delivery. Sent pictures of the pallets on my forklift and not a residence. They say because I don't have a website with my business hours of operation it's considered a residential address. If you search the business name on Google maps it comes up as the address for shipping if you wanted to make more money bid higher nope the just send an invoice that I've disputed but got nowhere. Wouldn't use these clowns!

We used Dohrn to ship components for manufacturing in cardboard boxes, and they showed up ALL soaking wet. Not only were the cardboard boxes soaked, but a dozen of the boxes fell apart and the contents emptied out because of the water damage. The carrier scooped up our components and put them in trash bags mixed with one another. Upon filing a freight claim, Dohrn insisted that boxes that are wet are NOT proven to be damaged. USE THIS CARRIER sparingly as they do NOT stand behind their work.

This company treats its employees like garbage. I worked at dohrn for 8 years just to get thrown out by John Mcalister manager of the sturgeon missouri terminal and threatened with arrest if not gone in two minutes. He has treated employees like crap. Multiple time drivers has called HR with complaints and nothing happens. He cussed out drivers calls them stupid and wouldn’t even let a driver suffering from cancer use his “private” restroom. Gary Acres regional manager has been informed and has done nothing about the abuse he puts on employees. Dohrn transfer is nothing but a toxic work environment and i wouldn’t recommend anyone trying to work there. HR has done nothing to help employees either. If you want more info on the mistreatment from the sturgeon terminal feel free to msg me.

Package was delayed, customer service went above and beyond to contact the seller and allow me to pick it up on a weekend.

We used Dohrn to ship a commercial bottle cooler worth thousands of dollars. It was shipped from Illinois to Missori, not really long distance freight. But unexpectedly, our freight was found damged severely on the bottom and the insulation was exposed, which was apparently due to inappropriate forklift or pallet jack hit. All freights were picked up from the warehouse in brand new and complete condition with certification. This Jennifer Haines, claims dpt manager, reasoned that any concealed damage claim had to be filed within 5 business days. Delivery was made on 09/27/2021, and we filed all docs on 10/1, she firstly played the time game. After our broker Unishipper figured out with her that it is within 5 business days, and that should not be the decent reason for the claim denial, she impatiently questioned what we were not understanding and submission within 5 business days did not mean compensation. Hello, we were literate. She said they would still deny the claim, as "There was NO notification of CONCEALED damage to the freight". If any concealed damage is found from the outside on delivery, is it still "concealed"? Most importantly, they did not ask the consignee to sign, let alone inspect. The carrier left the freight somewhere in the consignee's parking lot, did not ask consignee to inspect or sign for the delivery. However, the driver seemed to just sign on the consignee's behalf on the POD, which is used first by the claim department that claimed consignee signed it in good condition without looking into it. This Jennifer first asked if someone with the name of the consignee is employed on the ship-to location, for sure there is, that is the receiver. She wanted to mess that it is the correct name since the receiver works on the shipping address, but our consignee did not recognize it was his signature. She then corrected the excuses that due to covid, driver has the option to not ask the consignee sign if not comfortable and write in the receiver's name instead. So they could just fake the consignee's signature?? That is really funny. It seems nothing professional investigation is needed for their "claim department" that would just deny any claims. They seem to have all the privileges, sign on the real receiver's behalf, damage the freight without paying a cost and above all, excuse all your faults for Covid. Everyone stay away from this company.

Our truck driver Dylan was so kind, friendly and prompt. He called before to confirm that I would be home and was a delight to talk with. We'll definitely recommend Dohrn Transfer Company.

Loved the way it all looked and how the driver drove through a small strip mall in Chicago's uptown and made his/her way up North on Broadway!

dohrn transfer could hire and discipline their management team better. instead they have supervisors who constantly harass their employee and make a terrible work environment. with no surprise as soon as someone is finally done with being harassed they just fire them. definitely not a good place to work and no wonder why they have an extremely high turnover rate..

They use people's 20+ year old criminal past against hiring said people. Everyone has a past, that doesn't mean they have to be punished for it for the rest of their lives! If you can pass homeland security to get a tanker endorsement, it should be illegal to use their past against them when considering employment!
