I'm not sure why this place has bad reviews. It's clean, safe and ran by people who I believe genuinely care. If you can abide by rules set in place for everyone's safety, then you should be able to heal and thrive and find your way out of struggles. I was SCARED to come here. But it's the best decision I've ever made for myself and family. We've been shown so much love and support. This place is definitely the definition of a hand up, not hand out. If you show youre doing the work and want to get back on your feet, you'll do great things with the support and encouragement of staff and volunteers. Volunteer Jess is probably thee most amazing human being you'll ever meet too. They are so lucky to have her!!!!

Rochelle Rescue mission has a loving and caring group of staff and volunteers who help get the guests back on their feet.

Rochelle Rescue Mission staff and volunteers work closely with guests in accomplishing goals, such as job search and housing. Encouragement is provided along the way. It is amazing to see guests find jobs and housing!!!! So proud of each one!!!

My husband and I stayed here, fresh and new in this town. I'm sad to read these reviews! I know all staff and most volunteers well, and to say church is shoved down their throat is ridiculous. Is it encouraged, absolutely! Also, they don't randomly get tired of residents and throw them out, that's also ridiculous! If you would of followed SIMPLE rules of the house you would of been giving a great review instead of running their name through the dirt! This place was a HUGE first step for me and my husband. It's safe, clean, and located around many resourses in the Rochelle community. This place has gone over the top to help my husband and I and we're extremely grateful! I would recommend this to anyone!!!!!!!

A very clean and well kept facility. Staff was friendly and helpful in my time of need. They truly strive to help you get on your feet.

It's a faith based Mission designed for the people living here to help themselves toward independence. It's a decent place with caring people who are decidedly in favor of seeing the people succeed

I stayed in this shelter for not even 3 weeks and ended up getting my own apartment while having a vehicle and job already. This staff woman Autumn abused her power and acted shady as soon as she became higher up Staff at this shelter. She also tried to make me feel down that me my girlfriend and son were getting a 1 bedroom apartment like we were supposed to be held back and stay at the shelter as long as possible lmao. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody and the staff is willing to help drug addicts more than a homeless family with a young child. Not to mention she never noticed when somebody would clean but there’s cameras everywhere that could be reviewed for reassurance. L!

honestly why cant there be shelters that want to help people regardless of their faith without shoving it down peoples throats. Shame!

Great group of people running the mission. They definitely have a heart for people and a love for God... If you need their services don't hesitate or worry about a thing...

I strongly suggest that you find other means of livng besides this so called "Rescue mission". They will kick you out with out a second thought to your situation. There has been several people and families that have been kicked out and only giving less than an hour to get their belongings and forced to leave the premises. Being a church funded and ran mission. You would think it be a relaxed environment but dont let that fool you. They run the place like a prison. None of the staff or volunteers help do anything. None of the donations reach the people in need. They take the donations and they are never seen again. So please i beg of you help get this place closed down. They give the name for missions a very bad name.

This is clean place due to the residents not the staff and faculty... the staff treats individuals very poorly and do not give proper supplies to clean or take care of themselves... for a facility that is funded by the church it reflects churches of all kinds a bad name
