The guy upfront who seems to be the one in charge doesn’t like to apologize instead he keeps giving me word for word and make excuses. I was really liken this place. Hit or miss at times with quality of nails. Sometimes they last sometimes they was chipping pretty fast. Sometimes they give good foot and leg massage sometimes they barely touch them. Depends on who you get. This past week lady with pink hair did my nails and feet there was some red flags throughout but I didn’t complain until I got home and all my rhinestones had falling off except one or two. I had important event so my nails were extra important that day and reason why I decided to add rhinestones. I wanted them on my feet to but she said they couldn’t do it on regular polish. Never heard that but ok… I wasn’t able to make it back up there until two days later. Major inconvenience due to my tight schedule and leaving town. I requested a refund for the design part and he said they don’t offer refund of such a small amount. But you took my small amount that you charged. He tried to give me the same lady. Even though I rarely complain I said no I don’t think she knows what she’s doing. So he proceeds to do my nails. Only giving me excuse. I recommend maybe give her more training. I said instead of making excuses just apologize I’m unhappy and unsatisfied and it ruined and important night for me. Bottom line still no apology. He say rhinestones are not guaranteed! Hello I’ve been getting nails done for many yrs and never got home and they were all off! Heck they probably was off soon as I left but I didn’t notice till I got home. I’ve been coming faithfully coming there. Not sure I will return based on that experience. And I left her a nice tip. Overall so far the nail’s themselves are nice and holding up for day 5 French style.

Very great place. Fair prices for their work. Ken and Lee are both amazing for acrylic. I always leave with the exact thing I want. Super friendly staff and a great, clean invironment.

My senior mom and I had a wonderful experience at Five Star Nails in North Riverside! The place is very clean, and they use liners in their spa tubs, wear gloves, and use all new tools taken from sealed packages for the treatments. My senior mom has diabetes, and her nail tech took a lot of care in cutting her toenails and making sure that she was comfortable throughout. Everyone there was so nice, patient, and attentive. At first I was super confused about picking a color since they don’t have the massive wall of nail polish that all the other nail salons have. But when I realized I could actually sit in the chair and take my time picking from the nail swatch card things, I was really happy about it since I take FOREVER deciding (when my go-to OPI color isn’t available). It was fun to try something new and, for the first time ever, my mom is excited about going back here for a pedicure!

Ken and all nail technicians are great professionals. They care for the young and senior citizens by giving the best services. I always come to this place with my mom and enjoy their service.
From all the times that I have come to do my nails I feel great about it specially today. I haven’t done the ombré style and I loved the way Ken did my nails?
